    Troops’ pathing makes no sense

    I’m going to go on record and say that I suspect supercell has deliberately changed the troops’ logic so that attacks are harder to plan and predict.
    Otherwise, how else do you explain the queen choosing to go around the perimeter of a base when there is a clear open path to the core RIGHT in front of her. A few updates ago, there was no problem with her pathing through a base. Now, all sorts of troops go rogue, most notably the queen, bowlers, miners and healers.

    If I were Supercell, I’d be embarrassed that my updates make the game WORSE!

    I’ve played this game long enough to have seen the evolution of the troops’ programming. The queen’s movements are less logical than they used to be. She’s completely erratic now. 👎🏼👎🏼
    Makes me think Supercell engineers don’t know what they’re doing.

    A video of the attack would usually encourage a much more productive conversation. Some people might be able to explain what had happen. Without one we are all simply making assumptions.

    It's simple, if there's a building that's closer, the queen will target it. If the TH is closer, but there are walls between it and the queen, the queen will target the fastest to attack target.

    Ya gotta learn the art of funneling. AND use your king to take down those walls, so the TH is clearly the closest and fastest target to hit.

    You need more practice. SuperCell hasn't really changed much, except maybe the queen's aggressiveness.

    And, as a programmer myself, SuperCell knows EXACTLY what they're doing.

    Do you think perhaps she chooses the closest building? Rather than the easiest path?

    It’s cute that you’re giving me advice on funneling. I know exactly how to funnel. What I’m talking about is a queen walk. I have evidence she does not target the closest building...she’ll choose a path that puts the healers in range of air defenses instead.

    Again, I suspect this to be by design...by Supercell. I have no faith that the updates actually make the game more fair/more fun.

    Queen walks benefit from funneling too. Baby drags help big time with queen walks. Another major thing to consider is the angle of entry your queen makes into the base and the position at which your healers trail the queen. Queen walks are more than dropping the queen with 4 or 5 healers and using a well placed rage.
