    Lightbulb Possibility to run multiple CWL’s in one clan?

    So I brought this idea up a while ago, but I think it’s worth mentioning again (in a thread this time).

    With 50 members in a clan, I think there should be the ability to run 1-3 CWLs in a clan. That way, 45 members can participate.
    So you can have upto 3 teams of 15 members each.

    Now as for the rewards, they could be adjusted. The only rewards we need to adjust here are clan XP. That can be made 1/3 max possible per league for running 3 leagues, 1/2 max possible for running 2 leagues, and the the way it is now if a clan only decides to do 1 CWL.

    Only members in their specific CWL can donate to the bases on their CWL, clan members from other CWL’s are only able to watch battles/scout in the CWL’s different from theirs (and for other such aspects, apply the same logical reasoning).

    Now in terms of the rankings, that’s where I might need some help from you guys.
    What I was thinking is that each CWL within a clan has different rankings, and only the highest ranking out of them is the clan’s overal ranking.
    And in order to avoid higher up TH’s going to the lower CWLs of their clans to get easy loot, we can make it so that if a clan decides to do only 1 or 2 CWLs, it will place them in the CWL’s that are the highest in their clan first.
    So for example, if a clan ends a season with CWL’s at Gold 1, Crystal 2, and Champions 2, and then they only decided to do 2 CWL’s next season, then they will be placed in their Champions 2 and Crystal 2 CWL. If they only do 1, they will be placed in their highest CWL (Champs 2).
    This way, even if clans decide to put their stronger members in lower CWLs and weaker in higher CWLs, then they will sacrifice the ranking of their highest CWL (thus negating any abuse of the system).

    I read those threads. They are similar, yes, but not suggesting this.

    So much potential for gaming. 3 groups. A, b, c high to low. Start in appropriate leagues. Next round. A drops to b, b to c, c to a. Assuming c are minis. A and b dominate. C crashes. Move c to the bottom and tank. Rinse. Repeat to keep a and b in winning leagues. Unless you prevented movement between teams, and I can think of a ton of ways to get around it and ways it would punish clans, it's just not as simple as it sounds. Only way would be to weight each team and do a new placement every war season and gee, then we're back to engineering.

    It is difficult to know whether you are the first for something, but in any event I've supported this idea since right away too. However, Darian has said multiple times it would be a huge burden to code it. I think our best chance is what Warios suggested today to allow two clans to be linked for donations, members moving back and forth, etc. Then we could run a CWL in each clan and easily go back and forth.

Caution, I often discuss for the sake of discussion and enjoy having my opinion challenged (or approved of) even when I care little about the actual issue. My balance wish: get rid of tornado trap, make it a decoration.

    My question on this is clan perks. You have two linked clans. One established high level, one newly created and linked. Whose perks apply?

    Details that could be worked out, but I suspect clan perks would be individual to the clans. So, yes, if you started a new clan and went there to donate, no troop boost on defending cc troops (but could come back to the main clan for attacking cc troop donations).

    That still won’t be any different than reaching an equilibrium.
    Let’s supposed A is in Masters 1, B M2, and C M3. If C goes to M1, it will drop it to M2. Let’s assume A can promote M2 to M1. While B can promote M3 to M2, and C will drop M1 to M2.
    Eventually, there will be a point where A and B won’t be able to promote the tiers below them due to advancing too much, and then C will have to unnecessarily demote the highest tier (since there won’t be any profit).

    While this might help to roughly maintain the tiers at about the same level, it will still result in the clan not reaching the highest tier they could if they were to use the best clan for 1 tier all the time.
    It will only help rewards. To address that, I suggest SC make a change that the rewards in the higher tiers are significantly better than the previous.

    I don’t know if that thread is still around, but it’s the one that had a lot of replies and it was titled something along the lines of “CWL will destroy clans” or “players vs rewards, which will you choose”, and it was someone complaining about how they couldn’t get everyone in their CWL. I replied to that about this system, and a lot of people agreed with it there. It was during the first CWL, so about 1 - 1.5 months ago; not sure if someone else posted this idea there.

    Yea that’s what I thought. Coding would be significantly hard.
