Are these cores any good?

Seriously. What I used as rules of thumbs at Th1-8 are basically out the window. I may break my self-imposed rule of no copying until I actually understand the rules of these new bases....

Question is, do you want to spend the walls segmenting the core if you want to keep people away from the core? Moat is a valid design, and those cores would have to be paired up with a maze of traps and deployment pushed as far as it goes.
Both will work just fine, just eats up so many walls that your outer layer will be very simple - limited troop manipulation. Maybe make a mockup base and see what happens?
Cake great looking base, have any hogs attacked it yet? I would really like to test it if it can repel hogs. I'm using an anti hog base and it works pretty well, look me up tmann05 in noobworldorder. Also what would your base look like as a trophy pushing base?

First time really trying to build a competitive base so all input would be awesome.
To the left we have the core of the base and to the right we have a full version. Not really sure about trap placement so let me know if I should move anything.

If you have everything well enough upgraded, that can work. Only thing, that worries me on the design is the possible effect of lightning on DE. The collateral damage on gold will attract unnecessary amount of lightning strikes. Swapping CC and DE container will reduce the risk a bit.
