If you raid and then go offline while your next raiding army gets trained you will have a hard time collecting for the more expensive upgrades. Personally I am in about the same situation but either I have a shield on or will be online for 6-8 hours at a time while raiding. I will watch tv or do something but just hit to pad every now and then to keep my account online.
Sometimes I will have longer wait for a builder and I will have fuller storages, but raiders have a limit on how much they can take and when I get back online I just need 1-2 raids to get back what I lost. If I break my shield I just make sure I can raid more often to take advantage of the situation.
I have 4.1m on my gold storage and i saw a guy destroying my th9,and the available loot was like 350k+ of each and 1k dark.that's not right,WTH is going on SC?
The point of the thread is my observation, i hit around 1,5 mil. and stay there, unless i keep logged on. I have reached 1,7 so many times the last couple of days only to log of to lose 150k gold and ending up where i started. The numbers really dont matter that much to me, this is just my personal observation, no more, no less. I remember before the update earlier in my th8 adventure i had all 5 workers busy, while having almost 6 mil availeable i could not spend due to all workers busy. at that point i would lose around the same loot after a good attack on me (150-200k gold)
as stated, i find decent loot, but have trouble keeping it, now more than ever.
What does it have anything to do with what I said? The new update made saving gold a lot easier up until you reach 2M gold. The thread is about a guy who loses 150k when he has 1.5M gold, thus I told him that yeah last update is all good for him as pre-update he'd lose 200k for 1M stored.
He already got a big buff, what's the matter then?
I'm a pretty recent TH9, so I get bullied a lot by th9 and th10, and I know that keeping gold is tough now. But as the OP complained about losing 150k when he's at 1.5M I had to remind him that he got a pretty huge buff in that precise case as of last update.
Keeping your gold must remain something hard, and I won't ever complained about losing 400k gold when I log out with full sotrages. I'm always asking for more competitive feature in this game, and making storage more risky is all good to me.
If you really want my opinion, I think they should have kept the old system where 1M loot stored = 200k available loot, and also increase loot limit so when you have 2M you lose 400K. That would have been lots of fun.
instead they made a "boost" to loot with increased limit, but a ludicrous nerf of overall loot with 1M = 100k available loot on the other hand, and the whole point of saying that new system is broken is precisely that as most player have <2M gold stored, the boost/nerf ratio is incredibly in favor of a nerf.
The loot has never been so bad as the loot available has never been so low, at least for the first 2500 trophies.
And I don't think forcing people to go up in leagues was an intended feature, and I don't think SC has totally calculated how it'll look in the future when people go up in leagues to find loot... So far, loot is terrible, and will be for an unknown amount of time still.
But in the case the OP is talking about, I don't even see his point as he got a huge help with last update![]()

Like others said, lower your trophy. You probably would get less loot but it's more likely that your loots will survive.
If you need to know the exact trophy range. Id suggest that you analyze your defense log and identify from what trophy range your worst attacker that got most of your loot and then avoid that trophy range.
You seem to really like to throw around numbers and say everything is all fine and dandy. It might be to some, heck it might be to many, but I find trouble keeping my loot now, more than i did before. Period. No numbers could change the fact that this is a problem to ME. You really dont offer me anything constructive like the other guys try too, instead you throw numbers and say LOOK! everything is fine, this update log and these numbers say so. Please keep on topic or leavethank you and have a nice day sir
tr0pheus I'm also TH8 (nearly maxed out).
First off no one should feel bullied because they simply express their reality. I'm new to this board and find that surprising. You have the right to express yourself and so does everyone else. Someone having an opinion you do not agree with does not make it a "whining post". Someone having an experience you do not share (i.e. different level ..etc..) does not make her reality immaterial. Anyone thinking that way is literally an idiot (i.e. ala Foufoumoro) and should be ignored or banned.
I came from the 1200 range (I was at that level for months and doing very well with loots). I was enjoying the game and spent $100 on it. When I enjoy a game I do not mind spending some of my "entertainment money" into it. My previous game was War2Victory where I have spend $1k to $2k on it (yea alright that was crazy...ha...ha). Anyway since the update I could not find anything worth farming in that range (~1200).
I've been climbing up to the 1400-1599 range where I can find nearly decent loots (probably 50% less than before; borderline uninteresting game play for me). But like you, I'm losing more from other attacking me than I can loot back.
Here is what I plan to do short term:
1- Try to use the shield to conserve resource (yes this means playing a lot less..)
2- Spend all resource I can (trying to keep 0 gold and minimum elixir), upgrade your walls as soon as you get enough gold. I have 30% of my walls at maximum for TH8.
3- Maybe go back down in trophy (1200 maybe even lower?) and develop a new game play for looting (all bar/arch/goblin to try to make some profit?). At least not having to hide behind a shield all day would be progress for me. What's the point in the game if I have to hide behind a shield all day?
4- I predict Super Cell will correct this issue within 3 to 30 days . Be patient and wait for the "upgrade/downgrade". I can see them doing this "upgrade/downgrade" after 1 of 2 material events:
4.1) They will see people playing less (ironically maybe after initially playing more as more looting is now required). Did you read about that guy that keeps taping his iPad for 6 hours (even while watching TV) so other can't loot him...That is Crazy to me!!! Definitely not a fun game ;-) This might be a matter of 3 to 10 days for them to detect.
4.2) They will actually see players moving on (i.e. quitting the game). This could take from 7 to 30 days for them to detect. No sure what type of metrics they have available to them. I suspect not much or they would have simulated this upgrade and determined the problems.
Happy Holidays!

I see that this could be a very good solution, but i really dont want to play the game like this. I am allready very active and raid twice pr. hour almost everyday, i really dont want to put more effort than that into what is still just a gamebut i admire your persistency
