Exactly,
Loot production has not improved - so the loot sloshing round the system is the same - loots dont increase! Different people might make more though...depends on the style of play....but I'm struggling to see how people can still make 10m+ a day like under the old system unless they use a mod - there are some well known ones out there that would help if you dont mind jail breaking - I do mind so would not try them
I did an extensive "next" test and found that the big loots in a mid league (Gold 1) for a TH10 were available 1% of the time - if you had the army to crack them. Old style loot (lets say 180k+) was available 2% of the time (5 fights over 220!). Sub 100k - 89% of the presented fights! That is quite an improvement if your goal was to spend more gold than you make from raiding!
Yes, in reality I might have swooped an 80k abandoned to offset my skips but as a pure exercise to see what sorts of loots are offered, that was quite insightful I found. I really hope SC do something about this. Not everyone wants to cook power armies all day and chill in Master leagues...
I'm currently in Crystal and the situation is not much better. People are not stupid and the average player seems to be using gold just before they log off...walls / upgrades. Players who are forced to log off with 2m+ in storages usually have quite nice bases...L100s or solid L90s that know about loot separation etc etc...
So its HARDER to make the 200k we made in the past and its very rare to find the exciting 400k (i never saw one during the 220 skips) AND be able to get it all.
I think we need to see lots of changes...loot is just one of a number of things that need improvement
And that's why we are now able to save more for our updates and no, higher THs will not have more incentive to crush lower THs! SC states everything working as planned so this must be true!
/sarcasm
Loot update thread has been unstickied, so there you go...
Is SC hoping this thread will disappear in the depths of the forum?
Oh yeah I'm getting the really thrilling 10 to 80k for most of the time ( I know, you're going to say wrong trophy range right? Well been through from 1100 to 1600 hard to go further)
Considering, that the official and semi-official answers all say, that things are good as is, I doubt things will change in the next update too much.
Also we have to take into consideration the fallout of this issue and the possible side-effects of all the rantings:
(Not a complete list, just from the top of my head)
If they DO CHANGE the loot system to something, that actually works.
- Might make some people happy
- Will give people a reason to give even louder feedback next time something goes off as "SC listens"
- Proves, that some players did foresee this issue a mile away - took SC month to see
If they DON'T CHANGE the loot
- Same ranting will continue
- Will make more people to leave, how much more than "usual"... I would guess bit higher
- Proves to community, that SC doesn't listen to feedback
- The increased income from gemming will fatten the wallets of SC
Personally IF SC thinks the current system will increase resource gemming - I believe they are sorely mistaken.
I've bought gems for only 1 purpose - builders.
I strongly considered getting a few more during the 1 gem boosts because it was so cheap. However the current amount carried me through nearly to the end so I didn't.
I think the grand majority of players are not willing to gem resources. Many will gem barracks, spells, and other similar offensive things. The thought behind this action is that they can raid/loot more for the boost period. However, I know ALOT of players that will not gem resources. So if, and I am not saying it is, that is the logic behind keeping loot scarce I think its short sighted.
Anyway, I am not opposed to the current loot system but it needs more loot in it. During the holiday boosts looting was fantastic. I also enjoyed the challenge of storage raids that didn't take 50+ searches to find AND they were raids I could reasonably expect to win.
I think SC should put at least some of the suggestions for the formers have stated on the table.
1) Daily Quests - give those high TH players something to do while they are waiting for their nearly all 10 day upgrades... throw in some loot to make it interesting..... (Master Mind! Seriously he laid out the idea, just run with it - put him on the pay roll)
2) Higher League Bonuses - At least for elixir. Right now with the spell change (which I do like) and the demands on storage raiding its tough to come out ahead. Double elixir bonuses and for that matter add more DE bonuses in the Crystal ranges (higher up DE is SOOOO much easier to find)
3) More levels for resources or an adjustment to production - Honestly this would be a slow solution but it'd at least give casual players a reason to play. Make it so maxed collectors and mines would cover a 100% loss in AT LEAST 16 hours. This simply makes the prospect of losing 400K much less painful - thus players are more willing to horde loot and thus more loot is available for raiding
4) Provide incentive to upgrade those collectors and mines - add an achievement that gives 100 gems for maxing everything. This would be enough for alot of players to upgrade, would add loot for everyone and would likely be more effective than number 3
Let me be clear, I have no problem with the change to the loot system - I have a problem with the loot available. If I could make 350/350/2500 in 1 or 2 raids reasonably often I wouldn't care if I got 100% and allot players would - thus less loot dumping. I am doing fine but many players are really having a rough adjustment
I think people are more inclined to gem when they are having fun. I had loads of fun so bought gems to buy builders.
I would not gem resources for a game that is supposed to be all about raiding - whats the point? However, if people were able to make loot quicker than they could spend it or lack of troops was impacting raiding, then yeah, they might go and gem some builds to complete or gem their barracks...
When loot is poor and you skip far more than you actually raid, then you get irritated...then I think you are more inclined to quit than you are to pay...not many people like to pay for something they've stopped enjoying
