Hi guys. So my clan is a hybrid Req N Leave/War clan named iWAR. I stopped playing for a year and came back recently and noticed that the amount of clan trophies no longer gets you to become a top suggested clan so people can easily find your clan and flood you with their requests so you can donate to lvl up. My question is what can I do to make it in the top suggested clans again. What is the new clan suggested formula? Thank!
The change from one year ago: Searching for Clans becomes even easier with the new Clan Suggestions function. The Suggestions will prioritize Clans by activity such as Clan War activity, Troop donation activity, etc. An icon will also highlight suggested Clans that has a member from your Friends List.
Not completely specific due to the "etc" clause.

I have noticed that there seems to be some minimum number of active players online that is needed before we start getting new clan members or requests coming in.
I also noticed that when we had a long running war search going we did not get any new members or request, but as soon as I cancelled the war search we got 4 new baby members when our clan was set to anyone could join.
