Wait, why isn’t Iron Fist affecting other barbs?

Hi guys. So I was mixing in some barch into my strategy, and I noticed that when I activate the iron first, it does not affect the additional barbs. I saw this a while back while doing the GiBarch event, but didn’t pay much attention to it/thought I was tripping.
But now after a raid I just tested by adding in some barbs and raged my king, and I saw barbs that were not spawned were not raged.
Did they change something? Because as far as I remember, the iron first rages any other barbarians too.

The new update allows the Iron Fist ability to rage only the king's spawned barbarians.

Yup this change was made at least a year ago, last fall i believe.
