Pushing trophies is not really something for most of the players I'd say ... casual or not - if I play more I am not interested in staring into white screen AKA clouds either - what's the fun in being a "hard core clouder" … and trophies ? big deal - only a select population of the clashers even look at the left upper corner of the screen... most of the time I care is my loot and builder status.

Honestly, pushing is for neither casual players nor those who are not at the endgame. You’re still in the SimClash stage - building your game up. You can push, but to what end, especially as a casual player? You’d be better off spending your little bit of free time just harvesting resources for your upgrades, maybe joining the occasional Clan War, until you finally max TH12. You’ll find it much more enjoyable (as you mentioned) and isn’t that what a game should be...?
I agree with this other than I do think occasionally pushing for your own personal best before you are a th12 is fun as well. It might slow down your progression a little, but what’s the rush? I definitely agree you shouldn’t be looking at the top legends players and trying to get there with less than a decent th12. That would just be totally frustrating.

I never stare at the screen. There is a device searching now that I can hear if I get a match. I prefer that to looking at the screen hitting next and doing attack after attack with cheaper troops, although I definitely spent some time doing that in the past as well. As for loot, I have more loot than I can spend in legends. My storages are full and overflowing.

Contact SC here. Click here for how trophies are calculated. An idea to improve legends here. I wish max players had a separate loot bank as described here. Caution, I often discuss for the sake of discussion and enjoy having my opinion challenged (or approved of) even when I care little about the actual issue. My balance wish: get rid of tornado trap, make it a decoration.

Depends heavily on townhall level too, I have no problem sitting in Titans raiding a couple of times a day, at th10 it was tougher, if you’re a low townhall don’t bother pushing

This is like a vegan complaining about the menu at a steakhouse lol. Pushing is not for casual players. Stick with war and farming instead.

At least you found that out now before you got any higher. There's only one way to break through the clouds. It's not skill or tactics, it's TIME.

I've been in Legend league for nearly a year now. I average 4 attacks per day, never more than 10. Some days I don't attack at all. Staying in Legends has not been an issue.

I'm guessing my "secret" is just good shield management. I almost never attack when I have a shield. I do all attacks under Guard, often boosting so I can get my 4 attacks done in about an hour (I have other stuff to do!).

Those 4+ attacks under guard easily outweigh the trophies I lose over the 1-2 defenses I take until the next day when I'm ready to attack again.

For reference, I'm a less than half upgraded TH12.

I have a circle style base, with max archer towers, max cannons, max infernos and max xbows along with max air d. I’ve not laid down anything new yet, except my GW.
ive very comfortable in attacking and normally get 2-3 stars depending on the base, I tend to use lavaloon but can use goval. A bit old school, but didn’t wanna try bowler combinations as I was afraid to fail, as most trophies are max 5-10, with a loss of +30 on nearly every raid.

thats how I know I’m going to get smashed every raid, what’s annoying is the trophies that I’m likely to lose every raid, to what is available for me to gain everyday of the week
So looking through your post history, you state you went to TH11 with 40/40 heroes. You have a GW now. So what's the crux of the problem? Everyone suffers a huge trophy loss once in a while, but I'm not constantly hit by 30+ trophy losses every day. Do you at least attack enough to cover the trophies you've lost?

Since you only attack 4-5 times a day, and if you're trying to trophy climb then you need to start ignoring resources and look only at trophy offers. Don't attack any base that offers only single digit trophies. Those of us who find it easy to climb attack twice as much as you do.

Know that you will hit a wall again when you get to legends.

Noc, it may be just me but get off the SimClash thing. We arent playing a baby game. We are playing the clash that is the real game for the vast majority of players. Raid, upgrade, raid some more. We're not placidly harvesting our crops and building our city. I do a lot more than just harvest resources and join the occasional clan war. The real game doesn't begin at max 12, it's the journey that gets you there.

but this sounds much too casual for Legends

my Leggy style is very similar. In my few weeks anyhow. I will attack through a shield however, cause sometimes i need my guard to expire at a more ideal time. Shield management is a must for casual types. And for married/kids types and beers with friends and fam too.

4 or a few more raids a day are plenty to keep builders busy, lab lights on and what will eventually be walls and Royalty grind.

I consider myself to have a life and a good one at that so I must disagree with your conclusion.

Just a case of time management and patience. Nothing more.
Great, but are you Free to Play??

It doesn't take two people on an account to make more than 4-5 attacks per day.
