    Where is the game going?

    Not complaining, but after waiting for a week now, this upgrade is still a huge miss. I am almost max TH 9, good layout I believe (told and evaluated), was fighting between Crystal 1 and Master 2 (prior to upgrade).

    The biggest reason this upgrade was a miss is the game in itself. Are we really saying that we are not able to come up with an equation that allows for fighting/win progress as well as loot/build progress?

    I loved the idea of the league system, that is what we should have worked on/perfected/changed/continued to build on. It injects resources in to the game. It promotes actual progress in the game. Rewards winners. Great on so many levels. Even though it had more tuning and work to get it perfected. Instead we end up with:

    Over the past week, so many players have told me "put the townhall on the outside". I did. I dropped from 2400 trophies down to 1400 and put my th on the outside. And yes, I wasn't attacked so much (or i got free shields). Somewhat less loot but that is expected and OK but yes, I am able to save more.

    But, are we really saying this is the solution? In other words, forget about a fighting game? Forget about winning as it is BAD to win. Forget about progressing upwards? (unless you gem the whole thing). Is this what the game is? Nothing but a farm game with no other objective than 5 months of fighting the same person (same trophy level) for the same loot so we can upgrade one cannon one more level? one more AT to lvl 11?

    We have taken away all incentive to progress upwards. Actually, forget about incentive, it is counterproductive as you are being slaughtered and extremely hard to save up 5 million for an AT11 upgrade (unless you gem or stay online for a looooooooong time) when you get in to Crystal/Master as TH9.


    League system options (and I know it is not perfect the way it is now):

    Significant more loot win for 3 star win. Some more for 2 star.
    Higher reward (loot reward increases 10% for consecutive wins).
    Penalty for dropping on purpose keeping people in the range they should fight (9s fighting 9s, 10s fighting 10s, etc).
    Reward for getting to next league. Penalty for dropping below.
    Reward for progression within the league.
    10% more loot from people you fight when you advance one league.

    These were just coming to mind as I was typing and not saying they are good or bad. BUT, there is so much we can do with the league system making the game a fighting, where winning is GOOD, type of solution.

    Just my personal experience with the new loot system:

    When the update arrived I was saving up for TH9, my TH8 was more or less maxed out and I was using a base that previously got raided "properly" about 2-3 times a week.

    Then the update happened and I started being raided by TH9's every time I logged off. 2 minutes or 10, I would be raided for all of my resources, losing 300K of each every time, plus 1800 DE.

    That in itself wasn't the problem. If they come across a base they can take, and they can get a lot of loot, that is fine.

    The problem is that since the update, I have stopped finding bases with over 100K of either resource. The occasional abandoned base yields some good loot, but I am spending between 50-100K of gold each search now, and I am lucky if I find a base with enough gold to break even with the amount I have spent searching.

    I sometimes (but even then, not very often) come across a maxed out TH9 or 10 with decent loot, but certainly nothing a new TH9 can handle. After all, my army is still TH8 effectively, and so is my base.

    I am not sure what exactly has caused this, but from speaking to various people, this doesn't seem to be that uncommon. The only people who seem to be okay with this are those with high TH9 and 10 TH's, who are already used to struggling to find resources.

    I understand that the system was designed to balance it out for the higher levels who were struggling, but as it stands it seems to have simply reserved the problem onto the lower levels instead.

    As it stands the new loot system doesn't seem to be working as intended. Anybody who has anything less than a maxed out TH9 or 10 seems to be losing a lot more, while at the same time are struggling to raid enough to make it back. In my own experience I had to raid 2-3 times every time I was hit, just to recover what I had lost.

    I'm not going to say it sucks, and needs to be reverted to what it was, but something does need to be worked on, because it isn't working right now.

    EDIT: I should probably point out, that I am referring to loot being found overall. Not simply loot that is easy to get (in collectors) . I am on average finding based with between 20-70K of each resource. Quite often even less.

    Well, the TH8s in my clan appear to be having a field day, judging by their replays. They daily raid badly designed Th9s and 10s for amazing loot, always over 300k gold and lix. They are getting more than I do at Th10.
    the big wins are always taking on prem bases, so more fool them. No complaints from these clannies.

    Well, this image kind of shows that you have problem with the loot. Your army takes more than 40 minutes to build. On top of that, you used 3 spells, clan troops, both heros. All for only 160k of gold.... With this setup, even with spells and heros ready in an hour, you will make 1.6 million for 10 hours of playing assuming 0 search cost and no resource lost to attackers.... With search cost plus attacks, you will be lucky to save 1 million in 10 hours of playing....

    I don't get it, why is there no loot? I'm talking consistent build up over time? It is all over the place as to how much you can get. I have parked myself now at Crystal 2 and it's all over the map, nothing consistent ever. What do I mean by that?
    Well most searchers are ♥♥♥♥ now sub 60k, and I have to use a good army to get to the collectors, no BAM or any lvl1 combos. Once every 40 nexts I will find something worthy of hitting...

    So.... Unless there is an upgrade of the pumps/mines to match the TH8 that super cell is referencing, the economy will eventually collapse. Supply side economics, doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if demand out paces supply that prices go up i.e. the cost of gold becomes unobtainable.

    FIX THIS OR COC WILL DIE, that would be ok too though, haven't seen the sun in months
