I am a Town Hall 8 and I am the type of player that will play for 4 to 5 hours and then stop playing. I am the type of person that has my Town Hall on the outside in hopes that I will get a 12 hour shield if sleeping or at work. I am the type of person that does a 180 barbarians and 10 minions as my troop configuration. I am also the type of person that loves to find an inactive base with easy collectors and mines. At first this upgrade worried me but I got to 2.5 million gold from last night attacking and this afternoon attacking. I also just got my BB King to upgrade with 35,000 Dark Elixer. I will say the hardest part of the upgrade is getting the Dark Elixer. I was a huge fan of using my lightning spell or finding level 10 inactivates to get crazy amount of DE. This update should force me to upgrade my own collectors and mines to level 11 as I wouldn't have had to in the past......


As always with this game I think the easiest thing to get and have is Elixer. I sneeze Elixer when I'm sick I always have so much of it so please keep the Spells as Elixer. Thank you



This upgrade isn't awful for a constant playing person as me without logging off......If I was an attack and log off for an hour and then attack and log off for an hour and my gold and elixer was really high I am not sure I would be a happy camper as others are throughout this forum.


Can I still find gold? yes
Can I find as much gold? no
Am I okay with it? yes

Can I still find and find as much and okay with it elixer ? yes to all

Can I still find Dark Elixer? yes but it is hard with my attack strategy
Can I still find as much? a heavy decrease in what I could take
Am I okay with it? no because I am starting to get into where I need 40,000, 50,000, and 60,000 DE to upgrade Golem, Vakerie and BB King to Level 10

but I am still going to play this update would not be forcing me to quit

I have read so many posts on here and there is only one explanation for the new loot system.

I see people saying they are finding great loot and they will. I see people saying that their storages are being decimated and that will of course happen.

The new loot system is here so that if you try to save up for expensive upgrades you will be able to find gold but once you get over 4 mil, it will be taken faster. That will keep everyone playing but it will be harder and harder to get that last little bit to put into an upgrade. Everyone will be slowed down just a bit and hopefully enough to spend just a little bit more on gems. This will keep you all playing and unless you spend money, progressing at a slower rate. The only ones that will get good are people that spend money. It's been put in to keep the casual player playing and hopefully squeeze just a little more cash out of them.

Supercell doesn't want you to play for free and not purchase gems. The whole reason they made the game is to make money.

So please stop telling us your finding more loot. Stop telling us that your storages are getting decimated. Your just telling them it's working. They know this will all happen. It's by design.

I guess people are also aware that, what they are pointing out is well known by SC. Also people know that SC is not a foundation and has bills to pay for that matter. I have paid over $100 in 12 months for this game which puts me imho in the place of a loyal customer.

Since we are pointing out the obviouses and not being a jerk about them here; most people won't want to pay for what they can get for free(Resources in this instance). They would rather pay for something that they cannot create by their own means of production(Anyone thinking; Time?).

So when people lose all their hard earned resources, they get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off and they will rightfully start whining. If these ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off customers don't have any excess loot, they will never again be able to rush another upgrade and thus won't ever buy gems.

Keep in mind that only a very few of the CoC community are multimillionaires that pay thousands of dollars for their shiny blue walls or endgame defenses.

This, this thread right here, is exactly the place for experssing your thoughts, negative or otherwise. We just don't need all this feedback spread out in 50 different threads. We actually read this, and that's best done when it is concentrated in just a few places. We aren't stopping people from expressing their views (as long as they remain within forum rules), we are just trying to keep this as organized as possible so your feedback can be considered.

I do agree with you. The only time I will spend gems is to eliminate time. I think it is the only time most people spend gems. Slowing people down and making them wait longer for upgrades will put more gold into the game. It has too and the only ones progressing faster will spend money.

First of all, you're not listening to the people who are saying that THERE IS NO LOOT TO BE FOUND*. When you can look through 100 bases and find less than 100K gold/elixir (including several bases with less than one thousand combined), then something is seriously wrong. You end up with a net loss. And hitting "next" for 15 minutes is pretty damned dull. So, yeah, we're ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off.

Second, why are you TH10s so judgmental of the TH7s and TH8s who are having trouble? No, we're not as good as you; our troops aren't as good, our defenses aren't as good, and we're not as skilled as you are. That's nothing for us to be ashamed of. Do you kick puppies, too? You all worked your way up through TH7 and TH8 under the old system (or you gemmed your way up, in which case you should really bow out of this debate entirely), so you don't know what we're experiencing. I've heard TH10s say "I know a lot of TH8s who're happy", but I haven't heard many people at my level who are saying that for themselves. You expect us to take your word (and I do) that the loot at TH10 needed to be changed, so please give us the benefit of the doubt that our frustrations are legitimate.


*The loot situation does seem to be getting better. I've had a few good raids in the past 24 hours (2–3 stars, 150K of each on average; not as good as before but better than in the first 24 hours of the update**), so my attack strategy is fine, thanks. I still have to look through a ridiculous number of bases to find those raids, though.

**If a lack of loot happens with every update, you'd think Supercell would have figured out how to smooth the transition by now.

The debate started with me trying to explain that there is loot (told them my profit) and trying to give advice on trophy lvls and new army comp. Then I faced a wall of hate from a Th 8 claiming that I was lying, it wasn't my intention to offend you but if you would have read the post I was answering you'd probably have gotten that.

Further more, I'm a TH 9, who's judgemental now?

There is no loot or less loot to found period. Why do you think so many people and the top farmers complaining on the forum? FYI my gold intake has declined by around 40% and I have been storage raider 6-7 months. I only managed 4-5 million in the last two days whereas it should be 8-10 million.

At this rate I will never see lv10 walls.

I agree, loot is less but it always is after an update. SC asked us to give it some time to see the effects of the update, is it to much to ask for?
Anyway, it has already gotten alot better in my oppinion, looking forward to better farming than before the update.

I search for literally half an hour losing over 200k gold and i still only find loot under 100k even find loot of 20k below!!!! Town Hall 9 is now the impossible town hall of the game meanwhile townhall 8 can find pretty decent loot SOMETIMES. This needs to be fixed ASAP! Also Inferno tower update made it impossible to win any base with multishot! Damage needs to be heavily reduced...

You have to go higher. I found better loot 1600+ with my 9.

In regards to the inferno tower, you need to stop attacking inferno towers with weak troops! Look at the top players, they hardly have any defensive wins. If inferno towers were overpowered that wouldnt be the case.

This thread is for feedback about the update. If you skim through the 200+ pages of this thread, you'll see that most people are concerned about the new loot system and not that many people care about the tree.
