Farming will be fine if not better
It will be easier for th9/10 to progress from storage raids (though still less profitable than collector raids), so no, if anything, there'll be more farmers than ever.

Collector raiding is will still be the same after the update because that hasn't been changed. The loot in storages will get better though because when people have more in their storages more can be stolen. This update will take a little time to actually start affecting the loot (e.g. Making it better) because the trend with the loot is that when there is a smaller amount, less can be stolen, but when there is a larger amount more can be stolen. This is becasue the reduced % of available loot for TH lvls above TH6 means that less can be taken from storages when there is a small amount in the storages. But larger loot can be taken from targets with full storages because the available would exceed the now increased loot cap for TH lvls above TH 6.
Look at all those who scoffed at this thread two weeks ago. Hate to say I told you so, but...
The loot changes SC will try to coverup the inactive base sweep will not hide the fact you can no longer farm as efficiently as before with a BAM or barch or any quick cooking army where you don't have to use all your troops to pick off full collectors. The loot complaints won't end until inactive bases are allowed to be freed into the search queue and the economy of the game starts working normally again. Maybe this will save the inevitable herd of people leaving this game in droves.
2 days ago I raided 5 millions in 3 hours. I used BAM and boosted my barracks. I found 5 800k inactive bases. And btw; I'm TH 9. Farming isn't dead!
