    Quality of Life improvements wishlist

    Hey all,

    As many have recently noted, with each update we've been ramping up the Quality of Life changes in Clash of Clans. Those changes have been based on threads, comments, emails, etc. from the Community.

    As we're working on our next update, we wanted to be a bit more transparent about additional QoL changes we'd like to see implemented in the game. This is where you guys come in.

    This thread will be a wishlist of changes you'd like to have implemented in the game, that you feel would improve the "Quality of Life" for Clash. QoL changes include things like improving the UI in a specific way, or adding a certain functionality to gameplay. Content like new defenses, new single player maps, or troops do not count as QoL changes.

    So please post your ideas!

    Once we start working on these updates, I will update this thread with what QoL changes are coming in the next update.

    Just a few caveats:
    • Listing a suggested change here does not mean it will make it into the game. There will be hundreds of suggestions we simply won't or can't implement.
    • Clouds - Yes, we know.
    • Do not criticize other people's suggestions. This thread isn't to debate or denigrate other ideas.
    • Be objective. Suggesting "fix <blank>." doesn't tell us what you're suggesting. Be specific.
    • If you have a suggestion of your own, it would help to provide a reason why you think your suggestion is viable or what your suggestion intends to accomplish.

    Just a quick update!

    We've been keeping track of the requests, how many people have requested something, and how often it has been requested. So thank you for voicing your thoughts.

    However, keep in mind that the popularity of a request will not be the sole arbiter of whether or not a QoL change gets implemented. As I said above, just because a suggestion is made doesn't necessarily mean it'll be something that gets implemented into the game.

    Be that as it may, the popularity of a request will factor into our decisions but some of the ideas are ones that we've already ruled out or we may feel that it is a feature that runs counter to the direction we're taking the game.

    Please keep the ideas coming though. We've got a healthy-sized list of QoL changes we are going to implement over the coming updates and this list has helped galvanize some of those ideas.

    Confirmed QoL changes coming in the next update:

    • Siege Machines - The game will automatically default to the last deployment you used. If you used a Siege Machine in your last attack, it will default to that setting for your next attack. If you didn't use a Siege Machine and just deployed CC troops normally, your next attack will use that setting instead.
    • Siege Machines - Donating Siege Machines will now provide 30XP instead of 1XP.
    • Troop Selection - When starting an attack, no troops will be selected by default. That way you won't accidentally deploy a troop when touching the map. You will need to manually select which troop you will deploy first.
    • Replays - New replay speed available. Rewatch battles at 1/2 replay speed.
    • Electro Dragon - Eddie's Lightning Spell upon death will now deal damage to Resource buildings.
    • Grand Warden - The Grand Warden's mode can be toggled even while he is healing.
    • New Clan Games Tasks:
      • Building Breakdown: Destroy 50/150/250x Buildings in Multiplayer Battles. (regular/intense/epic)
      • Building Boom Boom: Destroy 30/60/90x Buildings in Versus Battles. (regular/intense/epic)
      • Wall Whacker: Destroy 50/150/250x Wall segments in Multiplayer Battles. (regular/intense/epic)
      • Wall Wipe Out: Destroy 50/150/250x segments in Versus Battles. (regular/intense/epic)
      • Sudden Stars: Collect 3x Stars from Versus Battles. Only Stars earned in the first 60 seconds count.
      • Speedy Stars: Collect 3x Stars from Multiplayer Battles. Only Stars earned in the first 60 seconds count.

    • Gem Donation price adjustment:
      • Giant: 2 -> 3 gems
      • Balloon: 5 -> 3 gems
      • Wizard: 5 -> 3 gems
      • Dragon: 25 -> 15 gems
      • PEKKA: 25 -> 15 gems
      • Hog Rider: 5 -> 3 gems
      • Valkyrie: 8 -> 6 gems
      • Golem: 30 -> 20 gems
      • Witch: 15 -> 10 gems
      • Lava Hound: 30 -> 20 gems
      • Bowler: 8 -> 5 gems
      • Baby Dragon: 10 -> 8 gems
      • Electro Dragon: 30 -> 20 gems

    • Reduced training costs for certain troops (NOTE: Values may not be final and are subject to change):
      • Reduced training costs for Wall Breakers:
        • Level 2: 1500 -> 1250
        • Level 3: 2000 -> 1500
        • Level 4: 2500 -> 1750
        • Level 5: 3000 -> 2000
        • Level 6: 3500 -> 2250
        • Level 7: 4000 -> 2500
        • Level 8: 4500 -> 2750

      • Reduced training costs for Golems:
        • Level 1: 450 -> 300
        • Level 2: 525 -> 375
        • Level 3: 600 -> 450
        • Level 4: 675 -> 525
        • Level 5: 750 -> 600
        • Level 6: 825 -> 675
        • Level 7: 900 -> 750
        • Level 8: 975 -> 825

      • Reduced training costs for Baby Dragons:
        • Level 1: 15000 -> 10000
        • Level 2: 16000 -> 11000
        • Level 3: 17000 -> 12000
        • Level 4: 18000 -> 13000
        • Level 5: 19000 -> 14000
        • Level 6: 20000 -> 15000

      • Reduced training costs for Witches:
        • Level 1: 250 -> 175
        • Level 2: 350 -> 225
        • Level 3: 450 -> 275
        • Level 4: 550 -> 325

      • Reduced training costs for Bowlers:
        • Level 1: 130 -> 110
        • Level 2: 150 -> 130
        • Level 3: 170 -> 150
        • Level 4: 190 -> 170

    • Copy Base: When using the "Copy Base" feature, it will now correctly copy the modes of Gear-Ups, Skelly Traps, Inferno Towers, X-Bows, etc.

    Hey there,

    I would like to propose a QOL change in terms of translation of ranks in various Languages, especially Malay, which I specialise in.

    so this post is probably really irrelevant to a vast majority. Anyways the feedback goes as below for the translations which are too literal to the point of ludicrous.

    Elder --> orang yang lebih tua (people who are older). Coleader --> ketua bersama (leader together). It would be better for ketua for elder and pemimpin for leader and pembantu ketua = literally Assistant leader as they did with the other languages like German and Dutch.

    2 points to gripe about my translations are of course the fact that 1) supercell might like clash of clans to reflect VILLAGES, as such ketua is already the highest position as village head rather than elder. 2) Co leader actually does not suggest subordinate leader but rather equal partners. If that were the intent however, they could consider pemimpin utama (leader) and pemimpin-pemimpin (coleaders) - That would however mean that they should find an equivalent change for the other languages where they incorrectly refer to co leaders as ASSISTANT or VICE leaders.

    Just a feedback on a rather tinily significant matter in terms of QOL of the game.

    Here are mine in no particular order...

    - reduced time for cc troop request
    - ability to mass delete a troop from a queue. Or quick delete whole queued army.
    - a separate chat tab for elders, and one for co's for those not wishing to use third party app
    - adding a rotate base option in the layout editor
    - more slots for bases
    - add siege machine to quick train queue
    - be able to choose default settings for siege machinery /cc.
    - be able change warden setting if not yet placed on map.
    - central clan troop depositary for donations managed by the clan.
    Probably think of more...

    What sense does it make to want improvements if the problems are not solved? Is it another way to laugh at players? We want solutions to existing problems.

    I would really like a reduction in heroes upgrade cost. Particularly queen . Now there is boh and other magic items - farming all that dark is still a hindrance to fast progression.

    Oh. And about second queue in barracks
    They just come out of nowhere and add to our unused spells/troops from previous attack. Kindly have a confirmation button for them to allow them to come in army camp. The current situation is forcing us to remove unused troop/spell.

    Donít know how practical it would be, with all the hidden stuff, but I do like that, bit limited in its current form (which is probably only best used as I can see it when everyone wants to copy the most successful base during trophy push).

    Surely the #1: make siege default when attacking! (For th12s)

    In order of importance/default in troop bar it should be:

    Donated siege
    Self-cooked siege
    Bare CC.

    Siege workshop boost cost and cook times.

    30 gems scandalous. 5 would be nice, 10 just about acceptable.

    Why does siege cook time increase with level? This is wrong too.
    Would accept 10 gem boost if cook times were capped at 20 min, 5 gems if persist with this unique and strangely progress punishing mechanic.

    Reduction in time for cc requests
