    Duplicate Names

The current global 3rd and 4th seem to have identical names. Is that right? I didn't think you could choose a name that has already been taken.

In-game names are not unique to any one account. My in-game name is phoenix, and there are likely thousands of other users with the same in-game name. However, what IS unique to any one account is the player tag. Although I share the same in-game name as thousands of other phoenixes, my player tag is different from all of theirs.

Phoenix is correct. When any account is created, a unique player #hashtag is generated for that account. That is why when you copy a link to any player base, it is that #hashtag as opposed to name which is imbedded within that link.

Clash of Clans does the same. In Clash though, they created APIs to allow controlled data extraction. So a website was created, clashofstats which allows you to view extracted data. So for example, I can use that site to see that there are 47 other Clash accounts also using Rowman.

People have asked for Boom Beach APIs, one day we may see them added so we too can querry our account names.
