This is all done offline, when the attack is over the defender doesn't know it happened, the attacker get their troops but but no resources. Notice how much gold he has at the end of the match and how much he has when he returns home.

Ture,he doesn't get any resources,but it is unfair as many of the users of it can test their attacks on any coc player they want,and it's just not fair to have the enemy known how to win any base design.
