No, sorry, the shrink trap wasn’t just ‘something to adapt to’.

It caused absolute chaos in competitive wars.

It was so strong that it absolutely had to be added in, but that may or may not have been possible within timescales for friendly war base cooldowns.
Then add in the difference between hitting pre and post update, just no.

It was amusing for multiplayer, but should never have featured in war.

As far as clashaversary goes, I’d just be happy with a bumper clan games (I’m thinking being able to get in different tiers: BoH, BoE, and a rune of your choice).

That in itself would do me, but throw in a cheap boost and then we’d be at spectacular.

A couple things that come to mind:
    1. troops spawning from a builder hut when destroyed
    2. The shrink trap totally ruining war attacks
    3. And the most annoying thing, 1 gem boost on collectors only lasting 1 day instead of for a whole week.

I’m sure I’m missing things, but the 5th anniversary of clash should have been awesome, instead it was brutally awful. Here’s hoping the 6th anniversary is better.
I don’t remember last year’s shenanigns as “horrible”.

The shifting builder hut defense troops were fun and demanded adjusted strategies fast.

The Shrink Spell was devastating to be caught in, but higly entertaining to catch people in.

1 gem boosts have been “per day” for a long time now and really isn’t a problem, it’s still cheap enough, that everybody should be ble to afford a boost or two over the week.

When you plan an attack and it randomly goes wrong because of a quirky and overpowered trap, that is not fun for most. As someone that enjoys the heck out of competing in clan wars, the shrink trap introduced a random element that could not be accounted for... most serious war clashers (serious, but I make no claim to my being good) seemed to dislike it.

I had a really great time! I started clashing when the cakes first started spawning. I remember the events as fun and whimsical. I did not understand the builder leaving, but it was quite interesting watching some of the replacement builders beating on the AQ and BK of my clan mates

You are absolutely right. Temporary it causes chaos to competitiones.

    They should make it permanent.

I thought this 5 year anniversary was quite entertaining and most players didn't think it was awful.

Your opponents in war had to deal with shrink traps too. And it's a game, shouldn't be taken that serious, even if it's war.

The shrink trap was fun, but not for war. If they plan to bring it back at some point, I hope it can't be used in war
