I agree, the last anniversary was very disappointing. One of the things that I remember is that, as a gift for that anniversary, Supercell would sell us the Builder's statue, but we couldn't buy it with gems, only with real money. Awesome gift! (No).

Obviously you haven't dealt with the current birthday party generation. It's not a good party unless you have hand crafted personalized individualized gift bags for the attendees. Unlike the old days where we got cake, played games, went home happy. The piper kids learned pretty quickly they could have a family party and spend the party money on them. Hmm....

Agreed there, it was lame and the statue for gems at the end was like someone popping a lead balloon.

Free stuff is free stuff, but hey lets hope for some cool, exciting free stuff this time around !I'd be happy with a week long 1 gem boost, massive CG with some of the best rewards as prizes - bumper clan games, if you will.

The 5th anniversary was a missed opportunity. The idea of the builder going missing probably looked like a good idea on paper but the concept was just confused and it didn’t work for me. Maybe because it came so soon after that interminable cartoon where the boat sailed across the sea for days with absolutely nothing happening. haha great post. Agreed completely. After that horrible series of videos of a boat sailing, many people were lost and confused at what was happening, then the builder disappeared and it was very underwhelming. As I said, a lead balloon. Yes, probably looked good on paper, but then so did the builder base look good on paper. Can't fault em for the idea, but the payoff was that, "pop", moment.

I'm with you Piper. As a dad of two young girls, who takes them to a lot of parties, the new age party bag jealousy illness is unfortunately alive and kicking in Skragsland.....
