Lightbulb Default qualifications to be Elder and co-leader

There are lot of players who is annoying the clan members asking for promotions.

This can be reduced or removed if SuperCell have implemented the minimum requirement to become clan elder and clan Co-Leader.

    Below are the examples :

Elder : Minimum - 2500 Donation should be there.
Co-Leader : Minimum 5000 Donation should be there to get Co-Leader role.

    • Also players should have option to opt-out not to receive troops from low ranked players of their choice.
    • Clan leader should be able to change the donation limit to become the elder and co-leader.

This will encourage players to donate troops !!!

Clan Management is not SuperCell problem. Clans are not a democracy and you should state thee rules and promote or kick players at your will.

Clan management is not a problem, it is part of the game. This will encourage players to donate troops. There are lot of clans where only few members are donating. Others just staying in the clan and not donating anything ,but, will ask for promotions. Also there are lot of clans who have their donation condition.

If you are not capable of saying no to those who are asking to be promoted then you are not fit to lead a clan.

We routinely boot new people that ask for promotions. Not at first; if they ask we tell them not to ask, and explain what our criteria for promotions are based on. If they ask again, then goodbye.

Coincidentally, we do the same for donations. If they request a donation and then post a message saying, “please donate!” then we’ll tell them that we can see the request and so the message is not necessary. Those that can donate will, those that can’t wont, and those that are t online to see the request also won’t see the begging. If they do it again, goodbye.

Drama is not something we’re interested in, as a clan. If you can’t be patient, if you can’t prevent yourself from being annoying, and if you can’t follow simple rules, then go elsewhere. We’re usually full at 50 members, so we generally don’t need new people. So we’re pretty picky about who we take, and even pickier who we keep.

100% agreed. Perhaps folks do not understand clan dynamics. Every time we say “(fill in the blank here) is a clan management issue, almost invariably we hear the response that we don’t know what it is like to be ina smaller/less deveoped clan. For those that say that, the answer is YES we do. The difference between a good clan and a bad clan is management of the clan.

if you are running a clan of whatever size and you allow your clanmates to hold you hostage with threats of your clan dieing if they leave, then you need to stop being a hostage. If you are afraid of your clan dieing because you kick people, then you need to stop being held hostage by your fears. A clan that allows unacceptable behaviour is doomed from the start. All it attracts are more moochers and hangers-on. All the folks who want to stay in a clan like that are more of the same. Over time, your clan will attrition away and die if you dont take another approach. Good clans are built with good people, they want to join clans that have good people, they want stay in clans with good people. The reason we dont have the problems that other clans have is b cause we have never tolerated poor behaviour. No, it wasnt easy, yes, it took a long time, yes our numbers went up and down but we persevered. You can do the same, set the expectations with your team, discuss it with them, figure out what you as a team are willing to tolerate and what you are not willing to tolerate. Set the rules and enforce them. It is hard work but it can be worth it. Lets face it, what is the worst that happens? Your clan closes, so you find a good clan to join afterwards. That has to be better than suffering in a clan you cant stand with f9lks you dont like. Not a bad deal in mymind.

For annoying behaviours, including asking for promotions, give one warning. Second time kick with the kick message “stop it” and reinvite.

Third time skip the reinvite part.

    Right, quite right.

Being held hostage by bad members means that quality members will not stay. New members will join, read the old chat, and if it doesn’t look good, and they are good, they will leave.
