Clan castle defence in multiplayer. Troops aren’t killed

CC sleep mode is great for war, you can request war attack troops early without fear of losing them. However, it is completely detrimental to the multiplayer game. CCs were mostly empty, now they are either empty or sleeping, and CC defence is now very rare to find.

A better solution would be that defending CC troops stay after the battle, even if they die. Same as in war.

That would be very nice if CC troops can persist after getting killed in defence. But that's unlikely to happen IMO.

PS: The obvious reason is dead base. Imagine troops coming out of dead base when you thought there will be nothing as it's dead base!!

You're dreaming. I would love it, no more waiting for new troops unless I needed different troops for my next attack which would be rare.

SC is not going to do this.

You're right, these days most CCs are empty on defense. When I first started playing that was very rare. Mine sure as heck are not empty. I need a better way to know that my CC is sleeping. Twice I've used it and twice I forgot to wake it up before I logged off. cost me 3k dark one time. The other time no one attacked. Sure makes life easier when there are no CC troops.

My post is opinion unless I specifically state it's a fact.

Bro, calm down. Idea is to survive after defending and not attacking!! You can't use same CC in all of your attack and that's not going to happen at all for sure.

I do not see this happening either, it will be bad for the Friends in Need Achievement since member won't request troops.

What would the point of a Sleep Mode be if troops always stayed in your CC?

Sleep mode is a fix for war, so you don’t lose your valuable war attack CC, but it is detrimental to the multiplayer game.

having CC troops return after a defence would have been a better solution, instead of sleep mode.

Even for dead bases, CC defence makes for a better game.

    Good point.

    Modified ideas:

    1. returning troops that died in defence, they last only 24 hours. 24 hours from when they were donated. (this is basically the war mechanism, defence troops are there for 24 hours of war); or
    2. Returning troops that died in defence, they return reduced by one level, if they were level 1 they don't return.

Or a related but different idea to solve the same problem:

    3. Clan castles have two rooms, one for defence troops, one for attack troops. Similar to war, you have one set of CC troops used for defence, and a completely different set of troops used for offence.

I don't think it will happen.
I got the idea of better defending, but it doesn't promote activity in any sense.

Getting back to the game after a defense just to request for troops is a way to encourage activity. I never use the sleep mode though, I always have CC troops to defend my base and request for war troops once I got a shield.
