I bet your absolutely right. Really stupid for sc to try and ballance max offense with non-maxed defenses.
Edit: perhaps im being too harsh. I was enjoying the seige and its current balance. I am disappointed. Apparently th12 will be an anti 2star th lvl sooner than i anticipated. We will all adjust. As i said i am just voicing my disappointment.

My understanding is that as TH 12 defenses increase, it may be possible to increase the effectiveness of the wall wrecker bringing it back into balance should it fall back. Or, is this such a permanent move that we are all doomed and should quit immediately?
There may be a hint of sarcasm above... just maybe.
The main reason the ww was used the most is a) because its the first siege machine unlocked and most th12s are still battling through upgrading storages and camps etc so level 2 workshop is less of a priority, but mainly b) kill squads whether its a ground or air attack are generally ground bases as the heroes are ground based, and the ww has primarily been used in kill squads, i cant see that changing other than it may now be more useful to not take an sm.
The reason nearly my entire clan hasnt upgraded workshop is because every donated ww and blimp in my clan becomes lvl 3 with +2 perk. We just all use those. A couple guys donate blimps as needed.
The reason blimps arent used much is because most of clash are ground attackers. Simple as that. Yes blimps were under powered compared to ww. Imo blimps could use a small buff.

Im the same i can donate level 3 blimps and ww, but no one wants a blimp because like you say most are ground attackers, but even the air ones prefer a ww for the killsquad.
I always take my own level 1 wrecker, and even now at th12 gameplay basically being max th11s, its seriously weak.i dread to think how bad the new level 1 is going to be.
I beg to differ here. First of all, the assumption of most Clashers being ground attackers is not true. People do both air and ground attacks. Like me. I prefer DragLoon to Hogs at TH8. And second, the Battle Blimp is not underpowered than the Wall Wrecker, it is at par with it.
As I said before, people were very much attracted to the WW, and thought that it was better than the Blimp, so the usage of the Blimp was less. IMO, SC made a good decision by nerfing the Wrecker, it will probably grant more usage to the Blimp, and also wouldn't impact the usage of WW much, as Darian said that it is still a very powerful Siege Machine. I want to see diversity in the game, not just one OP attack strategy being used by everyone. But I agree that it shouldn't have been 1000 HP, 700 to 800 would've been enough.
