You're a mod, Kat. As such, you represent SC. Paid or unpaid, you represent the game developer on this forum.
We have pleaded for Maggie to be fixed. Instead, we get an adjustment to a lesser price, but still a price. My solution continues to be to avoid her until the greed is fixed, not simply adjusted to slightly less greed.
If you think my tone is agressive, remember that I'm one of the paying customers who happily supports this game with real life money, and I resent it when I feel financially used by the developer.
You signed up for the job of mod and that makes you a forum "face" of that developer. Ir'a not a personal attack towards you. it's a statement aimed towards "you guys" who represent the folks taking our money and determing how much value we get for that money, and there is something you can do. However limited it may or may not be, you have a pipeline to company employees that we don't, so you have the ability to keep company folks apprised of the satisfaction level with the game as inferred from comments made on this forum.
Hope that clarifies my tone.
I too am not all that much more then just a customer who occasionally buys diamonds and for what it’s worth I certainly understand most of the feedback after the Maggie update.
Yes I do have a pipeline to SC and can communicate them but I’m also only human and usually respond better to a more reasonable post then an accusatory one.
That said here’s a bit that might interest you. When I first learned about customization and learned that we couldn’t freely swap out parts we previously bought I too was very disappointed. I was mostly disappointed in the fact that there was no way of getting items back at all other then waiting for Maggie to bring them back and pay full price. I immediately gave that as my personal feedback to SC but alas at that point the update was too far along for such major changes. So no I’m not somewhere in that pipeline where I can have such an effect and influence. I really loved the concept of customizations but felt a little sad those things hadn’t been looked at.
As expected when the update was released many players made a point of this and as a result the re installation was part of this update. Deciding a cut off point on an update is always a tricky thing. New ideas and feedback is given which could easily spin out of control in weeks or months worth of work which would lead to players having to wait too long. There has to be a point where it’s enough and the update will contain X and Y has to be pushed forward to the future.
Yes Maggie’s prices are expensive and to a degree I can live with that. Finally coins and vouchers become relevant again for the higher levels too. Of course she’s expensive for lower levels but she’s also meant to keep higher levels entertained as well.
Now regarding the buy back I too wish the voucher prices would’ve been even more reduced or also converted to coins. That said I can really understand the reasoning for a small re installation fee. I’m ok with that. At least it’s much better then not having an option at all to get previous designs back. And I do understand that people’s opinions can differ on these matters. However where some people have said after the last update that they want to be able to get the items back for free others said they wouldn’t mind paying a small re installation fee.

I liked Maggie how she was, but also understand that people want to keep what they paid for.
I also don't mind rebuying these things, as I also agree, Maggie is meant to keep the upper levels with something to work towards. She is not cheap enough for most low levels to take advantage, but from my POV, upper levels have more coin than they know what to do with because the game is generally finite. Which makes the conversion to coins for re-installation an even better update than making them free. IMHO
I came in here because I had a really inexpensive item on my list of offers today so I compared it with the book to see if it was something I had purchased previously, but it wasn't, so I wanted to see what people were saying.
My final thought on Maggie is this: She's optional. Don't use her services if you don't like them.
I like them. I'll be putting off buying more pets intentionally to save up vouchers for some things. And I can't wait till I buy my last machine, so I can start giving her ridiculous amounts of coins for *blue walls![]()
