Which design are you referring to? Could you take a screen shot of it so we can see? I, for one, would be very interested in seeing your defenses and also if you could post what troops have attacked each time, or post a picture of the results.

yes, but your defenses (i.e., levels of archer tower, cannon, wt, mortar) wouldn't change (much) and the troops that attacked you wouldn't be affected in any way.

Indeed, we know the base type you meant, its more what was inside defending as well as what attacked and/or show of result list that is of interest.

Dude, I was giving REALISTIC feedback on this particular layout.
You say it rocks, I say it does not because even the average attacker/army is going to wipe it out.
From all the TH7 designs posted around the forum this one is probably the weakest, therefore all this hype is for nothing.
The stuff he's been upgrading wouldn't make any difference at all because it was an overkill, I could have easily killed it with 2/3 of that army (and I hit a giant bomb btw).

Just because a bunch of noobs have failed to break it does not make it good nor reliable.
My opinion.

Realistic would have been that he had 1 lvl 5 mortar, another lvl 4 and another upgrading and if you say this doesn't make any difference then you don't know what you are talking about. I had tier 1 attacks with lvl 5 troops on my base and my mortars loved them.
As others stated... this base has worked well, no matter what you claim, just refer to the sceenshots @the beginning and frankly.. a th8 or 9 should be able to defeat a th lvl below him without problems.

This is alpha and omega for base defense, great that you pointed it out...although everyone SHOULD already know how vital it is.

Great point, though I've been losing a ton of gold/elixir from full containers as of late, because I loot more than I could spend (even with 5 builders), my walls are about fully upgraded, and I've raised my trophies to 1600 so I could raid DE off TH9's. Pretty much every time I log off I get revenge pummeled by PEKKA/Dragons/lvl 5 troops/rage spells. But hey, I got my DE, still have plenty gold/elixir left, so it's a win/win.

I'm going to try this out. I was using Flammy's TH7 design, but a few very high level attacks (lvl6 troops and queen and king) have destroyed it. Looking forward to watching fail attacks!

I copied it and used it for a while. Worked much better than what I had previously, mostly due to it appearing a little easier to break than it is..
