Can we please get a sticky to collect data on super long war search?

But are you sure that recent war performance is referring to win streak? Does it look at losses and not wins? I personally think that recent war performance references how high of a destruction % and star tally you get against similar clans. If you perform well consistently against clans equal to yourself, the matchmaker may increase the difficulty of your wars to give you a challenge. Like wise if you score low destruction %'s you may find easier matches.

Based on my experience only, it seems to rely on recent war performance wins/losses, but not necessarily streak. No matter whether it focuses on win/loss record, % of destruction, stars, etc. I hate it. I really really hate it.

This is funny. As I have posted we had no engineered bases or roster engineering but we were still having a hard time with super long war searches. I posted clan tag all agree that is true. So how can we get a quicker search we decided to try bringing back a th11 engineered we have not used in a long time not sure how long way over a year. We did this because the clas wee match with after the update both had 1 engineered base.

By adding the 1 engineered base the search was quicker but still a way too long 3 hours.

Hmm, I haven't really tried that yet.

Gonna try a 30 man and add in MORE dless 11s and see if can match the most heavy offense lineup we've done in 8 months.

Maybe we aren't engineered enough?

Have you read the posts talking about the issues in your roster that contribute to the long searches? Long searches aren’t usually caused by engineering. Gaps in weight or a bunch of low weight bases is more likely to cause a long search than just some regular engineering. Clans with engineering find quick matches all the time. Whether all that low weight in your roster is a form of roster engineering is up for debate, but either way it might be contributing to your long search time:

Ill help ya out Starcast99, clan tag is #2CL8Y8LP, the 7 th7 at the bottom of your war roster, in a 0/6/1/13/3/7 roster might be the thing making it hard to match other clans, that one TH10 mid top, most other clans would have a lot more around there, thats what might be making it hard to find a comparable matchup.

I understand some are guessing gaps could be the problem. And I agree it likely is but that is not something we can quickly change. Upgrading from th9 to 10 takes 12 days. 1 is doing that now.

We could ask all th7s to rush to th8 but I don’t want to do that based on people guessing as it may make things worse.

Thus, I responded to you pointing out there has been advice on what is probably contributing to your long searches. In other words, what you can change to get faster matches. This is based on experience of players testing it, chatting here, testing some more, etc. What you refer to as “guessing” is often good useful advice from experienced forum members like the one I quoted.

Filling in the gap is one. Dropping some of those low weight th7s is another. There was a time when all that low th7 weight would give you a big advantage at the top, but that is less likely to happen now. The more likely result now is a long search. That was a good change by SC.

War search has gone to insane today. We got one 2 days ago with a 40 man in less than an hour. Today we tried a 50 with no luck for over 3 hours so we dropped to a 40 and the search is now over 3 hours. The only roster change was to drop a TH8 and add a beefy TH12. Not good.

Never did I ever ask how I could get a quicker search please show me that post.

My post was about getting hard info on how many are having long searches and the need for a sticky to get this info.

Have you had a short search ? Something like 30 min. If so post line up and clan tag and how long the search was. If not why would I trust your advice?

Examples are the best way to know what is really working no guessing. That’s why I started another thread looking for real examples of short searches.

Ok, been like 30 hours now searching for a match in total, not impressed at all....

Gonna try adding in another big TH12 to our lineup, along with some more weight in the middle for a 25 man and see if that helps.
