Oh wow I forgot about those but we changed our roster around ALOT since the last matchmaking update and split between our feeder so I'm not sure how relevant that would be now since our roster changes war by war.

I wouldn't say we are THAT engineered now, I haven't had my 1 cannon max hero in war for a good 8 months and lots of others haven't been including their high offense 11s in war either.

It is impossible to plan clan wars these days. 12-24 hours of searching for an opponent. This is getting really frustrating. We normally found match within 2 hours prior to the th12 update. Now we find nothing

He has a right to complain about super long war search without being blamed and shamed. After you scare people into not posting you can say “ it can’t be a problem no one is posting about it” nice plan but we can see right through it.

Well if that's blaming and shaming I guess I wouldn't mind doing it all day. Yall wanna bring abstract rosters and then play woe is me. If you want a match then bring a more normalized roster to the table but some of yall are choosing incompatible rosters with the current matchmaker. That's on you

So you think you have a strategy that is advantageous and don't want to share it. Fairy nuff. But then you are complaining that the strategy isn't working any longer and therefore the game is broken. That's the bit that doesn't compute.

IMO engineering is player vs SC. Player tries to figure out how to optimise for the MM, SC tries to close any loopholes and tighten up the MM. Can be quite interesting technically. I started an outright engineered account way back in Oct 2015. But I gave up working on it a few months later because quite frankly SC weren't playing the game. It was like playing chess against a 5-year and trying to win.

But SC have started playing the game now. For the MM to more or less reject any line-up that it regards as incapable of a fair match is a perfectly valid outcome; certainly in the face of a deliberately engineered clan. So now engineering has gotten harder. An engineer needs a clan that's close enough to normal to get a match, while being at an advantage, and while many of the matching parameters appear to have been obscured much more (see my comments on gold weights). It's starting to sound interesting. It's almost sounding tempting... but most of my speculations of what may come next feel like the asteroid rushing towards the dinosaurs.

Anyways, feel free to engineer away. But the game isn't broken if it rejects your attempt. You can get a match with a sensible line-up if you want. Or it's possible to engineer an advantage still. But it's gotten harder and now failure is a possibility.

Im on your side in this debate, and Ive always found warios a bit abrasive, but on this point your wrong, using what someone has posted on the public forum that is very relevant to the discussion at hand doesnt fall under a reasonable intepretation of the naming and shaming rule. Your weakening your overall position by engaging in this losing side issue, i would stick on point and not get lost in the weeds, especially when the weeds have not broken the naming and shaming rule.

I have to wonder, why is not giving these many clans a war, as apposed to giving them a war with a disadvantage (which will Train them on how to play the new way, by seeing the specifics of the disadvantage), when It teaches them nothing (except that they are not welcome in the game anymore) a good way to go?

Well thanks for the vote of confidence that my posts might scare someone away. But in all honesty I don't think anything I could post would scare MajorJohnson from continuing to post on the forums.
