Lightbulb Battery Drain/Overheating workaround (root required)

Same as everyone who are facing the mega battery drain issue and overheating, I was also getting my battery drained really fast while playing COC (Currently using Samsung Galaxy S2 aka i9100). Somehow coc developers have not fixed that bug.

There is a workaround for it, which obviously need root to manipulate the freq of Device. Use apps like nofrill cpu control or setCpu to underclock your device to 700-800 MHz (or play around these ranges). It will hugely improve the overheating and battery drain issue.

Conclusion: Simply Utilize the OpenSource power of android.

I would just like to add, previously before owning my iphone 5, I was using the same phone as yourself, overheating is not just an issue when playing clash of clans. It's an overall issue with the phone, I can't remeber what I used to spend my days playing, most likly minecraft up until I found coc on my ipad and upgraded to an iphone. But either way, my phone would be a mini radiator.

I had one issue one time, where my phone was using so much power, and crashed completly, and it seemed to be trying. To run every application I may of left open upon rebooting and it wouldn't charge quick enough, and was left with a radiator, rebooting phone, i fixed it, but the only way to remove to the over heating, is to remove any SD cards, and leave the phones memory empty. Helped a lot on high demanding games.
Probably a higher level, a higher Townhall, better walls and better heros.

I noticed this problem at first and then figured out to use the back button to full exit the game. This stops the game and saves battery life. Hitting the home button keeps the game running in the background.

    Hopefully this will help

Well power saving doesn't help. I tried it myself.
Method I posted was used for battery efficiency and works well for power hungry apps if done other-way-round by overclocking.
