    It's to make sure that the giants go down that funnel. Otherwise they will head for the AT nxt to the WT

    2 wins 2 losses so far (1 star 58% loss from all level6 army).

    I'm not happy with performance of my bottom wiz towers. They can do better. Can't get archers in range.

    If you have ideas for effective and not overly massive anti-barch, please share.

    So far we got 2 tested and working anti-giant tricks.

    1) Runway (6 x spring traps in line)
    Tested? Yes, multiple times, working like AK-47 if you can lure the giants there.
    How many giants can kill? Up to 18 lvl6 giants.
    What could go wrong? Traps can be disarmed by goblins if not properly protected.
    Cheap re-arm.

    2) 3xGiant Bomb
    Tested? Yes, a couple of times.
    How many giants can kill? All of them. Lvl5 giants die instantly, lvl6 get on red health bar. Best used with 4-6 single shot defenses and a wiz tower to finish whats left.
    What could go wrong? Heal spell can be dropped to save lvl6 Giants.
    Expensive re-arm.

    Nothing good against BARCH that isn't taking a quarter of the map.
    Anti-BARCH wanted!


    My stats so far: 3 wins, 3 losses. Won 9 stars and lost 5, which is OK for the trophy base (and great for the terribly underleveled TH8 in Crystal).
    Nobody wants to attack me from the bottom, unfortunately.

    I'm getting a surprising amounts of wins against the attacks on the sides with no traps.
    I got most of my single shot defenses densely concentrated in that area. Quantity compensates for the lack of quality.

    Re-design coming.

    Cool, nice strat for base designs! As a th9 in crystal 3, th8 are a nice snack Traps probably are your best chance. However, I always try to route my troops through holes in the wall I made. And avoid the open pathing.

    I find 15 giants, 2 healers, 4 wizzies, 10 wb, rest barbs and archers is easy to hit gold stores. Not really interested in 3 stars.

    Sadly the best defense in that range is just an exposed TH. So I would recommend that you set your base up to quickly be able to switch TH in or out of your base.

    But keep up the testing. That knowledge will be very handy when designing a th9 base.

    I know I have failed against some th9/10 bases that looked easy when cup pushing.

    edit: hehe, posted that then just lost an easy raid. Dag on kids hanging on me while trying to get in a quick raid.

    Stats so far-
    1 41%win vs BAM
    1 60% 1 star loss vs Archer-Giant.
    Not bad. But not one has come through the funnel yet. So I am continually improving and modifying building/wall placements to make the bottom look easier and more attractive to attack.
    I will post a pic when I get the chance. But now all my resources are at the bottom, and almost all my defenses and spare walls are at the top.
    So yeah.

    I've actually tried something similar in luring base design as a new TH9 in Crystal 2 and 3. Over the last 3 days, I've actually had great success. With 10 wins 7 losses, I would wake up to 3-5 attacks, meaning I had won the first 2-4 at the very least.

    This is a picture of the final layout. As you can see, my elixir got completely depleted due to successful luring to the bottom side, more than I had anticipated.



    It was a tough design to run with though, because I used elixir storages to help bait to one side and would find myself losing up to 750k elixir, 300k gold and 3k dark elixir.

    Even through the initial trial period the design was fairly good for trophies (+47 over 3 days including a -49 from hogs), it resulted in my resources getting pummelled on multiple attack sessions.

    It also resulted in this..


    The initial base design had been tweaked a few times. It's a design that I believe can work in Crystal 1-2, and possibly even Masters if properly tweaked, but I just didn't have the resources or the defensive strength at the moment to continue testing.

    It was a giant healer attack at the bottom with the exposed AD. He used 14 giants,17 level 5 wizards and 3 healers, two of which got seeking air mined, and all giants springed trapped.

    EDIT: That's an old pic. I put the elixir storage on the far left to where the Archer tower closest to the wizard tower is by the alleyway funnel, and the tesla closest to that cannon on the alleyway funnel I put that a bit further back, because I was afraid the giants would go and try to break the walls.

    I really like how subtle the baiting is. And those sneaky corner walls fooled even me.
    But... I think you gonna be BARCHed.

    Haven't came out with anything against it yet.

    This should work fine if BARCH is coming front and center. Tower is out of reach. The storages are within reach of archers, but they have stand on that hot spot, and with Wiz tower + mortar can wreak havoc.

    The tower can destroy hordes of archers before it falls. Problem is, it is weak from other 3 sides, and hard to incorporate into base without breaking anti-giant.
