It was a giant healer attack at the bottom with the exposed AD. He used 14 giants,17 level 5 wizards and 3 healers, two of which got seeking air mined, and all giants springed trapped.

EDIT: That's an old pic. I put the elixir storage on the far left to where the Archer tower closest to the wizard tower is by the alleyway funnel, and the tesla closest to that cannon on the alleyway funnel I put that a bit further back, because I was afraid the giants would go and try to break the walls.
i would think giants would hit the walls to get the defenses there rather then go down the funnel. Unless wizzies blew them out. Thing is your gold stores is way to exposed. I would send troops through the north and south. With the stronger troops going through the north side, since that gold stores is more buried. The bottom would be very easy to hit. Should give an easy one star and all three gold stores. Which is what you want as a raider in crystal3.

the seeking air mine by air defense is a very effective tactic.

Haha you missed the corner walls trick too

I'd split Wiz+cannon and AT+mortar pockets in two, there is really no point in feeding second defense for free to giants, it will only delay their death, and time is precious.
The point of a missing wall in not only to lure the giants, but also to group them up perfectly for upcoming spring traps walk, and having them walking back and forth killing that second defense kinda hurts the purpose.

On top of that, I'd put the mortar where cannon is now, and put the Wiz tower in it's place.

This way you feeding them cannon and AT only, leaving your splash intact (and hopefully even less than that - only cannon, because no giant will make it to the AT)

Yep, too many exposed/unprotected buildings on the outside, some can be picked with 1 archer.

Every building counts, attacker shouldn't get anything for free.

Ha, you are right i missed it completely. Very tricky. But, can be bypassed if they just use wb on the pocket where the mortar is. Which i think most guys would do, cause it is easy to overlook the hole and you want to kill his splash asap. Long extended walkways just screams spring traps! I would panic if i saw a ton of my giants walking down a empty path. Another thought, a barb king could also wander down that path blowing all your traps.

perhaps shorten it up, or break it down into two segments with a cannon in the middle.

It's won 2/2 defenses so far. Going pretty solid.
    Both giant healers BTW
It seems like people underestimate me by how stupid it looks and don't really think about these things and just attack from the "easiest" side. Which is trapped
I'm trying to protect DE, so thats why the gold storages are exposed.
In the meantime, I'll try to clean up the base so my buildings aren't picked off by 1 archer.

I was slow, and replay is gone forever, so I'll show it on the pic

After killing AT, AD, AT, Giants decided it would be a great idea to bash walls in front of a WT.
When the wall has its health at 1/3, some random barbarian activated the left Tesla.
It is located far away, and enclosed by walls, but suddenly all giants abandoned the (almost destroyed!) wall and went to the core (spring traps got them all).

It means that tesla popping anywhere on the map forces giants to re-think where the most tempting target is from their current position.

From AT the most tempting target was WT, but from the new spot mortar was more tempting, and tesla forced them to change their original decision.

This can be used in some advanced funneling, like making giants go for some wall, activate tesla at the end on the funnel, and go to the next funnel without doing any damage to the base (or doing minimal damage if you want to repeat it multiple times).

The trick can be repeated until you run out of teslas.

I don't think this can be used in any real base design though. But it is the fun thing to know

Wow very interesting. Not sure how I can incorporate this into my design, I'll try to though.
Also, I cleaned up my design and split the compartment into two.

    Looks very interesting.
Send me a PM if you'll get more replays, I'd love too see them.

    My battle log so far:

From 6 attacks, I was attacked where I wanted to be attacked only once (Armagedon). Giants were sprung, but hogs and gallons killed my splash, and I've lost.

Looks like I failed the baiting thing

The topmost attack looks is very interesting. 24 lvl6 Giants plus Healer plus spell against early TH8 - easy 3-star, right?
He avoided all the spring traps by attacking on the wrong side. His giants were blown by 2 x gBomb. Unfortunately, I had not much defenses left at this point.
He struggled to get the loot and TH, but got lucky and snatched 126 out of 200 available.

First base I have ever made! This concept really excites me haha, hopefully it works out, and I'll post defence log later. Also, will the funelling work? And are there any weaknesses?

Heres an idea, take it for what its worth..

what if you designed it in the corner of the map having the weaker side facing the corner
and the stronger side facing outward into the map.

having your traps/funneling/tower-funneling in the weak corner to easily
lure attackers to attack from the weak side.

    hope this helps!

will post designs once i have a working prototype.
