You already have the option to use upgrading heroes in war. It simply involves those alluring shiny green hexagons.

This has been requested numerous times, in part I believe it is why they have started offering the book of heros to significantly offset the wait times. I don't think that this will ever happen, as it's a main source of revenue for SC.Originally Posted by ClashManCal

This is why there are gems and BoH's. They've done everything but make the game completely free.
