I’m really not very happy with Supercell right now. Myself and my friend Clare have worked really hard this bingo derby, and due to a glitch or bug caused by Hay Day we have lost our gold trophy, and there is now no hope even for silver or bronze as they are out of reach now too, through no fault of our own.
What happened is that my friend completed a 320 point egg collecting task on Tuesday, and was not awarded the points upon completion. The task showed in her personal task log (see pic) and did not show either a green tick or a red X, it was just a blank space.
She wrote to Hay Day via the in-game help and they confirmed the issue was their fault, and said the problem was caused by some bug/issue in the game, and they were working on resolving it. Then, as if this in any way is an acceptable replacement for her lost points (leading to the loss of the gold trophy), they compensated her with 10 diamonds. She then asked them if there was a way she could just be awarded her points instead, points that she earned, they then sent her a free booster for Rose (Rose! Of all things!), which is beyond insulting and really disappointing considering how difficult it is to complete ten max point tasks in a week AND get three lines on bingo AND win a gold trophy, when there’s only two of us playing, and we were firmly in place to complete all the above. Now, because of you guys we’ve lost. Very, very unfair.
Under NO circumstance should your players lose progress or rewards for their tasks because of your unresolved issues. If you can send Alfred along to her farm with diamonds, or add potentially the most useless booster to her farm, I’m certain you could have added her points to her overall score in order to keep the game fair, otherwise, what’s the point in playing? What’s the point in competing only to have the game/Hay Day team screw you over?
As a direct result of your bug, we lost our gold trophy. The team who are now in first place with 6,400 points should be us. If the in-game help person had simply awarded Clare the points she is owed when she acknowledged that Clare lost her progress in her task due to a “temporary glitch”, and had she done it in a timely manner we would have smashed this derby, gotten 1st place and the gold trophy. Now we’ve been overtaken we have no chance of winning or placing, because your issue means we cannot catch up. Your staff don’t seem to care much about it either.
Also, I’m sorry if you think I’m taking this too seriously, but we play the derby to win (otherwise you’re just playing to lose and what’s the point in that?) and we’ve never won a bingo derby before and completed all three lines. This is actually the first derby my friend and I have played with just the two of us playing, so yeah, it does mean a lot when we’ve put the hard work in and carefully organised our farms in line with the way we planned every task each of us would complete etc, anyone who takes the derby seriously knows that this situation would absolutely infuriate them. And Supercell don’t even seem to care about rectifying it correctly and/or fairly. This also messes up anyone else’s hard work in the derby. We both lose out because of your error. I lost the diamonds I spent on my tenth task, which I wouldn’t have spent if I had known you guys were going to destroy our chance of winning a trophy. Am I going to get my wasted diamonds back? Doubtful.
Would you be happy with 10 diamonds and a discounted Rose booster in exchange for your hard earned gold trophy? No? Me either.
