Ability to “hide” your versus battle base

Hi,

As we all know, having a good base is a big plus when playing BB. Unfortunately you can’t hide it from other clan members, since they can visit your base while you’re attacking. Even non-clan member can copy the base (without traps). When more and more people copy a base, it begins to get weaker, since it’s a matter of time till everyone knows how to beat it.

The proposed idea is setting your versus battle base beforehand, in the layout editor, and it doesn’t have to be the same base you use as active base.

then, you can tweak a base till it rocks, without fearing that it will be easily stolen.

Even if sc add a hide button it won't prevent your opponents from copying your base by watching replays or taking screenshots.
Whenever I face a strong base I copy it.

You can set up to 3 builder base designs, just as in the MV.

I made an, "Upgrade Base" a while back, with a layout of all like buildings grouped together. Ie., all cannons together, all teslas, etc. I set that as my active base when I wasn't attacking because it amused me.

Then one day I was in a hurry to get my attacks done. I logged on, attacked, finished, and saw that I was 3-starred. I looked at my base and had that, "Oh ####" moment.

I don't set the Upgrade base as active any more.

Essentially, this is the way you hide your base. When you're not attacking, visitors will only see your active base and then you switch it back to your attack base when you're ready to attack again.

It's bound to happen, especially if you are top of the world or top of your country. I think for them, almost every battle there will be spectator (if they accept friend request and all).
But normally those top players do put the different base than they normally used for versus battle. And even the army camp troops too, since we could change the troop before versus battle.

As noted prior in this thread, the best option is to create a "fake" base.

I feel unless you're a top player, this isn't a need for the average player. Even as a top player, you're constantly having to switch your traps/teslas around, and maybe tweak a thing here and there. End of S5 there were 2 considered "top" bases, both of which your attacks entirely depended mainly on if the traps were set to air/ground. Luck of the draw (or stream sniping, @codycouch )

I can understand the wish to hide your base from people outside your clan, but from people in your clan?

Also .. the need to hide a base doesn't really start before you reach top 100 in the world, does it? (not saying that THAT isn't the case for you, but it certainly is a unique problem)

Well, that’s how bases spread... people copy it from inside the clan, then they leave... or people join the clan only to copy strong bases.

I’m not a good base builder, I usually copy some base and tweak it, but I feel bad for those guys who work hard for building a good base, just to see it spread really quick.

I’m fighting for top10 in my country... not really close to top100 global. nevertheless, I’d still like to hide my base, since it’s very efficient against air for now.

I don’t like the idea of having a fake base... I did it once and, as people said, you end up attacking with fake base active and you get tripled.

I agree with you about changing the base, but my feeling is that you wouldn’t have to change it that often if you could hide it from other players

Well, then I suggest that you make YOUR OWN clan, where you can control who gets to see your base and who doesn't.. Also .. review your friend list and consider removing some of them (as they can follow your live attacks)
