I contacted apple 8 hours ago, replied to me and said to contact Supercell. On a positive note they responded pretty fast.

Apple are pretty good with communications, at least you have started the route if the gems never appear.
if at the end they don't appear you will need to contact Apple again but in the mean time lets hope its all sorted for you within a reasonable time frame.
