It's been my goal to keep 15 of every item, but with the new items I'm back to 14 while the endless wait to upgrade the barn happens.

There are some things I don't sell, including beeswax, honey, honeycomb, fish, feathers and lobsters. Though those rarely even meet the 15 threshold anyhow.

my low to keep on hand is also 2 - and it is pizza. I only keep 2 in case I'm in a hurry and can't wait the 11 minutes for it to cook. If I use it, I try really hard to replace it immediately.

I try to keep all my metal bars at 0. They go into the jewelry maker as fast as I can make them. Same with lobster and feathers. I never keep them on hand. I do occasionally keep fish on hand but I really hate fishing, so most of the time I only fish on demand.

For most items I try to keep between 8 and 10 in stock at all times, but there are several things I keep only around 5 or 6 - - they would be carrot pie, pumpkin pie, the berry pie who's name I forget, pink dresses, cotton shirts, chaps, and rustic bouquets of course. Anything I know I can find in about 30 seconds, I never cook. This sometimes includes plain popcorn, but I will often hold onto around 10 to 15 plain popcorn just in case. Townies can ask for anywhere between 1 and 15 on my farm. I only keep around 6 chili popcorn, and the other popcorns I try really hard to keep at 10.

For animal products... ugh - I try to keep around 30 eggs on hand at all times now, same with milk, same with bacon - once I got pets (and pasta) I go through these things like crazy. But I'll sell off 100% of my wool and goat milk in a pinch. I never have trouble finding those either.

Lastly, parts. I never keep more parts than I need, and I never work on more than one upgrade at a time (unless I'm holding things because someone in my NH asked me to). Right now I'm working on the barn upgrade, and one of my NH Members is doing land, so I'm holding a few land items, but all town parts and silo parts are getting posted for friends to find.

When it comes to the silo, you got your 5 basics - wheat, corn, carrots, soy, and sugarcane - I keep 100 of these each at all times. I plant tomatoes and lettuce all day every day, and rarely sell them. They get used. I usually have cotton on rotation also. I rarely plant pumpkins, red peppers, indigo, and the rest I will usually plant 12 or 16 when they get as low as 20.

I don't harvest my trees on demand either. I have 16 of each type on rotation. I put up around 50-64 helps daily just on trees, and sell the excess. In one harvest of any given tree, I'm picking up something like 50 fruit, which is plenty to hold me over till it harvests again - so if I find I have more than 50 fruit, I sell off the extras. There are only a few times I've actually run out of saws. They get dangerously low though!

I'm genuinely curious about your reasons for this. I realize the products are easily found in the DD (well except corn bread usually for me) if needed, but there is nowhere in the game you can buy and then use that purchased product to recoup your expense (unless it is double coin). Is it because you are making other products in those machines that serve your needs better?

My lowest items (always zero) are honey, candle wax and honeycombs, simply because as soon as I have any of those I use them.

Everything else I always have at least 15-40 of on hand as a minimum stock (bread and popcorn 75-100).

Town items I try to keep to zero. Have all the land and don't want to have more visitors wanting more stuff. I don't derby my town. My low items are tofu dogs and rustic bouquets. Too easy to get from friends and DD.

Fair, haha Mine is only 1600, so it's pretty small for my level. I'm constantly working on upgrading it but it's a slooow process.

I am impressed. That takes true resource management with that size barn at your level.

Not really, I just tend to make on demand and pick and choose my boats. Hardly any impressive management going on!

Pizzas are at zero for me too. I just don't have enough cheese for everything so I make the things with cheese that take longer and only make pizza when needed. I like to fill up all machines when I'm playing and don't want to leave any idle so there are some things I have in excess. Always +100 red popcorn. Usually +50 bread. Also sugars are closer to 200. Syrup maybe +80. Just because it's easy to make "too many" on those machines. I don't normally make blankets, jellybeans or diamond rings, so I quite often also have none of these. I can't keep up with a certain stock of every item. I also don't play a consistent amount of hours every day so a lot depends on how much I play. If you don't play much, you very quickly end up with no milk for example.
