Level means nothing. It's all about Town Hall Level. Player level serves no purpose. When you have Town Hall Level 8 then you're pretty much gonna get a hard time finding a good loot.Originally Posted by Seattleducati

At zero trophies with a level 7 town hall, I'm quite satisfied with the gold I'm getting - about a million per hour. And it's not all lower level guys; I'm level 40, and I hit guys ranging from 20 to 50+, with town halls ranging from 5 to 8; it just depends on the apparent risk vs reward.I have have been raiding and pillaging like a pig. Free Advice: Don't upgrade your TH until everything else is maxed out - research, walls, buildings, everything.

Yep. I spent about four hours online today, and was able to upgrade about 20 walls from level 6 to level 7. At 200,000 each, that's about 4 million. I guess some folks will hate me for letting the cat out of the bag, but hell, it's a game, and everyone should be enjoying it. Besides, Supercell knows what goes on, they have all the logs and records available to them anyway.

Hmmm with numbers like that the algorithm might need to be tweaked a little. Thanks for the information. Do you think upgrading walls before other defenses is more important?

This is the basic low level looting that everyone was doing - I can confirm you can make 1M an hour 8-) My best was 1.6M in an hour, but it averaged just under 1M
The update sort of killed the level 8 TH folks from doing this way low, but you can still be somewhat successful around 1000-1200 trophy level.
Some buddies still farming said when the update came, it really hurt, but it leveled out, since players holding 1 million could only be looted for 250k, but as the week went on, and they were looted less, they actually started holding more, so now they're holding 2 million, with 500k available to loot, so I think it's leveling out and still a viable tactic. With a lvl 7 TH, you can raid 5-8 without penalty.
