Don't worry about the hogs. People will also still use non-hog armies and those higher level walls will help you in those raids.

A base with lvl 8 walls will scare me away

In a hog attack high level walls are the difference between 1 star n' 3 stars.

Totally agree. Even higher walls can be breached with 1 wb and rage spell

Yeah, even without rage, I do not care about walls unless I am in masters or champ. Even then, not really a big deal, because most armies have high dps units.

Honestly it depends...

Lvl 7 walls and lower I will attack.

But I prefer a lvl 9 walls base with mortars lvl 4 and wiz tower lvl 3 (it exists ^^) than a lvl 7 walls with all maxed
But generally I stop at lvl 8 walls.

I've never skipped a base because of what walls it had.

Usually high-leveled walls are accompanied by high-level defenses, and it's the high-level defenses that I'm concerned with. A loaded TH10 with gold walls would get skipped the same as a loaded TH10 with electric walls. I've never once thought to myself, "Man, I'd attack that base only if the walls were weaker." If it's a weak base, I'll still attack it no matter what the walls are. If it's a strong base, I'll skip it no matter what the walls are, unless there's some kind of flaw in it that allows me to mostly not be concerned with its strengths [level of walls isn't a flaw that makes me change my mind on something.]

That, and as everyone knows, Hogs are the primary attack anybody uses when cup pushing below 3200, so unless your a champion or above, walls won't even help you on most defenses. During my experiences cup pushing over the last two months, Hogs are the only thing worth focusing on defense-wise. They've EASILY been the biggest threat to me while I've cup pushed.

when i raid with hogs and different air attacks i obviusly do not care.

other than that, lvl 8+ scares me, since they take a while for my poor lvl 5 troops to breach, if my WB´s goes crazy and does random stupidness (which happens alot)

Psychologically, start from lego walls and upper will be able to intimidate barch attackers who'd like to farm
