Well, it's good to see 2 kinds people here on Forums.

1- why can't you give what you've advertise?
2- hey! Come on it's free. I'm happy!!! Why can't you be happy??

Ever since the word "FREE" got into mind. Everything is free.
This game is free to play. But you can't just sit idle and be lazy to Max your village. You gotta work on it.
Maybe, most of them are happy with whatever thrown at them. Obviously!! It's free!! Right!!?
WHY DO PEOPLE DON'T CALL A PAYCHECK AS FREE??! obviously! because, you work and you earn.

There is absolutely no scam, under any normal definition of the word.

It costs you nothing, you get as much extra loot as will fit in your treasury, how is that a "scam".

Even false advertising is questionable at best. Yes, those on the winning side will not be able to take the full amount. The losers will get 4 times what they would have done (though still not as much as the winners will be getting).

Your war attack 'earns' you the regular loot. If this is multiplied be it by 2, 3 or 4 x then the additional bonus loot is 'free'.

As a maxer who is mid th11 with almost max heroes, I know the pain and glory of the grind but I also don't look a gift horse in the mouth

And that's exactly what SC advertised. Earn 4X bonus.
They didn't say Get free 4X bonus.
I hope you got my point.
I'm a maxed out with 70 walls left. I'm in no need of loot.
Just saying. At least don't provide fake promises to your valuable customers!

Maybe they should learn principles of Microeconomics, i mean the concept of
Opportunity Cost 😂 🤑

Playing a game does require work (eg. your muscle cells and brain cells are using up energy); however, to compare work in a game to real life work just doesn't make sense. If we go by what you say, nothing in life is free. Even the air you breath is not free because your lungs/respiratory system is doing work cycling the air.

Is it just me or is everyone mad right now? Here is the thing...when we buy their offers and don't have enough room they make sure we have unlimited storage right? BUT when we are offered a 4x loot that EVERYONE needs for upgrading they put a cap on us!!! That is terrible that the only time we get to reap the benefits is when supercell is making a dollar on the purchase!!! I'm sure we could all use that dark for hero upgrades! That elixir for troops and walls and the coins for our defense and walls am I correct?! Raise your voices! Lets all tell them that this is not cool and we would like them to come up with a solution for this matter! My TH11s received not much from this war and they are the ones that spend their loot on troops for these war CC donations! Their response talks about clan XP well some of us dont need that as much as the loot!!! UGHHHH Supercell be good for your offer!!!!

Personally, I’m just disappointed in their response. Yes, there are some people freaking out when it’s not a huge deal. Yes, it sucks. Should SuperCell own up to it, and offer something else in exchange? If they want to provide good customer service, and show they care about their loyal customers, absolutely! The resource cost in this game is very high, not to mention the time commitment - I’ve been playing nearly every day for 4? 5? years. I’ve lost count. So yea, I’m going to take it personally when the mods are essentially responding with a god complex, and blame the few that are throwing a fit instead of addressing the issue like a proper company. Saying “we would have had a different response if you hadn’t complained” is not a proper way to address this. That’s just lazy customer support, blaming others.

First, the mods aren't SC. If you are disappointed with the response from SC you must mean that there hasn't been much of a response. I do see that the sticky thread discussing the event says the 4x event is up to the limit of your storage (even that could be clearer by referring to treasury). Other than that, I haven't seen anything from SC, although I could have missed it. As far as the mods go, I bet all of the mods wish it was explained better by SC to begin with or the treasury was expanded because this issue is just creating work for the mods. They have to combine threads together, respond to questions, etc. Also, I haven't seen the mods doing what you claim. I don't see them blaming players, although I do see them (and me and others) pointing out some players are taking this minor thing way too far. As for your last point, about lazy customer support, the mods are forum support, they don't work for SC. They can forward the complaint on to SC but it is up to SC, not the mods, to change anything if SC thinks it needs to be changed.

Im not saying its a conspiracy and SC is NOT horrible. Yes my tone was a bit aggressive but thats because 1) Storage limits are flexible when you BUY deals and pay money then why not let us have all the loot for the 4x event?
2) They could’ve at least clarified that there was a mistake and then made an exception or changed the event details. I dont really care about this now. I was just dissapointed when I lost half my loot while I was expecting to get all of it. But anyway whats done is done. Cant really do anything about it now.

I didn't say you were one of those that I was describing as an example. I didn't go back and read through all of the posts to name names. I read the sticky note above and it says it is 4x up to the limit. Very early in the event people reported here the loot didn't go over capacity so it really wasn't 4x in many situations. So, I knew very early on that this was the case. Also, even if I didn't know, nothing would have changed for me. This isn't like buying something in the store. This is just doing what I would be doing anyway (trying to win a war) then finding out after the war is done that I didn't get as much loot as I had hoped to get, but knowing it didn't impact my play in any way at all.

So, in the end, the event would have been better in my opinion if we were allowed to go over our limits, but it isn't a big deal.

In this case, there is.

You do nothing at all any differently to what you would do without the event.

But you get more loot and clan XP than you normally would. That extra is totally free, because you have done nothing at all extra to receive it. It costs you nothing in time or money, or any other resource. I can't see how it could be any more free.

We can agree to disagree but as I have said the unlimited treasury feature was for purchased loot. It is not the norm. All other events I recall are subject to the usual limits. the x4 event is for ALL players of every level and if you are lucky enough to be in that group who will have a full treasury then you will not receive the full bonus (if you won). It IS a x 4 event......

If you go to an unlimited buffet it is still an unlimited buffet when you are full...

Actually, the bold bit is not true. I completed the golem event the other day and now have 2 of 1 books (i.e. the book won in the event was still granted even though I already had the limit of one book).
