War event treasury discussion

For the forum record I’m not here to justify SC action nor defend them..My opinion is exactly that. Because it happens to differ from yours In that I choose to not see a war loot event as something free that I “deserve” - that simply means I choose to not be angered by how much free I get. You aren’t silly, and I never said as much, you just choose to get angry about this and I don’t. I was angry about the Miner bug though...I used bold type, lots of !!!!! and even capitals....but this drama? Meh....

Just so i know were from the same planet, in your experience, when you encounter someone angry and overeacting, and tell them to calm down and stop overeacting, what is the response you generally recieve?

This is what annoys me the most... moderators being all cool and saying stuff like you’re getting more than usual so be happy. If we were told it would be a 4x event then we deserve to get 4x loot. So dont come here and justify SC’s actions by saying that people dont need that loot.. we need loot and we’ve earned it. If SC has messed up then they need to admit their mistake but dont try and cover it up by saying “you’re getting more than usual”. However, I would not have been so angry if they had changed the event details as soon as they realised their mistake or at least if they’d come out in public and said “yeah we’re sorry”. In fact they coulda just made an exception and let us all have that extra loot... but no thats not how SC deals with such situations. They let the moderators come here and make the regular people sound silly for demanding what they’ve earned and are rightfully demanding for.

On a personal note: You don't find that "Demanding" for your "hard work" might be a tiny bit silly considering the circumstances?

Yep...several of them feel this could have been handled better especially given how the player base can be known to react....just like you guys there are many, many subjects that divide Mods and GASPS.

certainly should not of been called a 4x loot event when 50% of clans will win war and not get 4x.

Mis-selling just causes angry users which is what we are seeing here

Might as well be a 12x or 24x loot event - it would sound even better and the reward would be the same

I don't know if this is even possible, I haven't worked it out... but maybe SC's intentions was to just put it at X4 to ensure that all winners, no matter how they choose to attack (high/low), from TH3-11 all get full castles for a war win? I'm sure for some TH levels, this X4 bonus is benefitting more than us TH11s.

Personally I don't see it as an issue. I'm being awarded a full clan castle worth of loot for war. I'm over the moon!!

As noted by others, there are differing opinions among the mods, gasps, etc. Also, one thing that impacts the discussion is the tone of the complaint. If someone posts that they were disappointed to learn they didn’t actually get 4x loot and they wish SC would allow the treasury capacity to be exceed for this event, that person is not likely to get a lot of disagreement. On the other hand if the person acts as though this is a huge deal, a major conspiracy, a cover-up, they were lied to, the event is totally pointless now, SC is horrible, etc., well that gets a different reaction.

Not Holps, not nearly cool enough to be Holps, but in my experience on these forums, people are completely logically and should calm down.

This event diesnt have any effect for me, I lose out on building a few white walls. But I always wonder who does QC on these decisions? And if Darian ever goes into work and says seriously guys, it’s math, basic math.

OMG I've just read through this thread... it's so sad.

Am I the only one who really doesn't care that I "lost" loot? As one of the devs rightly pointed out... I'm used to getting 1.2 - 1.6ish per war (which I'm quite happy with).

Since the event started, I've changed absoloutly nothing and came out with 3.6!!! I haven't lost anything?! I didn't have to attack more, or spend more time playing, or use more loot on troops... I just done what I always done?

Some people jump on this "false advertising" or "misleading" band wagon... big whoopsie. Why can't people just look at the positive side of things? It's much easier to accept
