That's not entirely true. We had a few people gem their heroes in order to take advantage of the extra loot. Gems that they purchased. So to assume they spent nothing is an unfair statement. I'm sure many people did this as well.Originally Posted by Holps

At this point, it doesn't even matter. We can all agree to disagree. I speak for myself when I say it's not going to make me quit the game or anything. Disappointed in the lack of response from Supercell but after 5 years of playing this game, I suppose I should be used to it. I'll continue to clash on.
Where do you see me arguing that fact? You're bringing irrelevant information to my comment. It doesn't matter if they got more than they usually do. They didn't get what they were told. Is what it is. 30 something pages of back and forth from 2 sides that just disagree. I think I'll leave it alone now.

It just simply is not a 4x loot event...I think that is what myself and others are pointing out. Nobody is disagreeing that we get more loot for free, but the amount advertised is misleading.
My apologies if that came off in an attacking way. I was not, in any way, trying to put words into your mouth. My simple point is that the reason those people gemmed heroes was for extra loot. It wouldn't have mattered if it was 2x, 3x, or 4x. So, even if they did PAY for something to participate in war, they got what they paid for.
All that said, I'm not disagreeing with anyone in this thread. It sucks that the treasury doesn't overflow for this event. But, TBF, nothing has ever overflowed unless it was because of a monetary purchase (if memory serves correctly). So really, it's a foul of the community for assuming that the CC would. But, it's also a foul on SC for not putting that out up front.
I just think everyone needs to relax and enjoy the extra loot we're all getting. Doesn't matter if it's the full 4x after a loss or the 2.5x or whatever it is after a win. None of the back and forth really makes a hill of beans.

We can agree to disagree but as I have said the unlimited treasury feature was for purchased loot. It is not the norm. All other events I recall are subject to the usual limits. the x4 event is for ALL players of every level and if you are lucky enough to be in that group who will have a full treasury then you will not receive the full bonus (if you won). It IS a x 4 event......
If you go to an unlimited buffet it is still an unlimited buffet when you are full...

Well why stop at 4x then? Why not advertise it as 100x loot bonus? Or infinite loot bonus? It is also both of those things to a lot of users as well.
Also, even if your treasury is empty you will not be able to hold all 4x...not just “lucky” people with already full treasuries.
My, and I think many others’, point is that it is a misleading name. If you think that this is the right name for this event, then there’s nothing left to discuss.
