Honest? I think people didn’t think that much before believing. We’re all pretty familiar with the principles that something full holds no more loot when it overflows (be that mines, collectors, stroarges or ccs) and that the only time it doesn’t is when you can specially stacking when spending real world money on a pack. So unless they specified it could overfill (as they do with the real world money offers), why would one just assume it did despite all prior experience suggesting it wouldn’t?

When was this promised? SC didn't release any details about war loot being able to exceed the clan castle limit. People who are disappointed set themselves up for disappointment based on non-factual assumptions.
