Sc says 5x loot, which turns out hardly anyone can actually receive ...that is a failed promotion in my book. Sc is trying to give good but due to its (again) completely incompetent communication and implementation of this event manages to irate more people than make happy. And this is then somehow the players fault? Really?

Everyone in my clans is also scratching their heads. SC did this last time too. It’s baffling. The loot is great yes, but why say 5x and make a big deal out of it when you can’t get it all? Especially when we know they have the ability to expand / overflow storages. It only runs a few days. Just make the treasury overflow for those few days. Or if that’s too complex, dump excess in storages.

You’re wrong.

As long as your clan found an opponent (preparation day) during the event period, your clan still have the effect of the event.

It would have had the same outcome for the players with nowhere for the loot to go.

Not quite sure what on earth SC were thinking when they announced this.

Maybe they mixed up the original update date with this announcement as the 1st April would have been most appropriate for the 5x bonus.

Name 1 single player that got the FULL 5X loot bonus? Can't b/c there aren't any that got the FULL AMOUNT.

SC falsely advertised a 5X loot bonus. It's false b/c no one got it. People did get a bonus, but not 5X worth of bonus.

Your analysis fails since many people did get the full 5 x without hitting the cap. It happened in my own clan when we lost a war.

I'm in 4 full clans. Not a single person understood that the 5X loot would be capped by your CC. ALL thought it would somehow expand to fit what Super Cell advertised.

Some of the people in my clan thought it would go over the treasury limit and some did not. When it was explained here that it would not, I posted that in our clan chat. Those that thought it would go over said ok, well too bad, and went on with their day and their game. It isn’t like any of them did anything different because they were counting on more loot than they got.

It could have been any of those, although 5x sounds better for the 5th anniversary than 500x. One difference is 500x would mean some of the losers that didn’t cap out would have capped out. Next year it would be better explained if they refer to it is as “6 x up to the treasury limit” although maybe they will just go with “+ 6 ” instead of “6 x” and see how people like getting 6 more gold pieces.

Thankyou for the 5x bonus event supercell. 5x xp really helped our main clan and our mini clan lost and really appreciate the near to full treasury. I read this thread. So wanted to post something. A few points that have not been made or I missed: 1. Exceeding limit of cc treasury would be advantageous to max accounts who already have full treasury. 2. 5x win bonus applies to a zero star. Definitely not a "fill your treasury" event wording is spot on IMO. Thanks again it's been great fun warring these past 5 years! Best part of the game!

I’m thankful for the almost full treasurey. SC is doing a good job at keeping the in game economy thriving at a time when activity seems very high. I’ve played long enough to remember the loot droughts that plagued previous updates. Just the fact things are so good loot spills over and is lost is fine by me.

I find both Ajax and Kat’s comments to both make little sense. Also I believe the tone of Ajax’s comments are insulting. His definitive “THERE IS NO MISTAKE” is not the word of GOD ( or Supercell) as he is a mere mortal player like the rest of us expressing an opinion.

What I find truly disgraceful is the way Supercell has let these two fellow players handle all communication (with minor assistance from 2222 - didnt want to leave you out!) about an issue that clearly has excited a number of people. Where is Darien hiding as a small trash fire begins to grow?

I said yesterday, about 8 comment pages back, SC should have addressed it clearly/finally and closed the thread. This ongoing war of words cannot help SC’s image and annoying players, many of whom are paying customers, is never a good strategy. But I guess they think the success of the Battle Pass, raising CLASH revenue 145% to $27M over the previous week’s revenue (https://venturebeat.com/2019/04/09/s...s-revenue-145/) can overcome a small % of players feeling like SC lied.
