suggestion to this type of event name:
"win or lose - get full treasury"

this can solve the frustration of those who "lose" 29K de (when they win cwl for 56K but can hold only 27K in treasury)

What did I do to deserve the 5X loot bonus?
I completed a successful attack in war plus my clan won said war.
Is that nothing? Had I not used my attack; THAT would be nothing.
In regards to starting the event? I had nothing to do with that.
SC initiated the event, so it is a reasonable and logical expectation to receive the full benefit of said event.
This is quite clearly simple reason and logic.

I'll add my thoughts for what they are worth.

Celebrating the 5th anniversary of Clan wars is great and everyone should be happy about this, except they're not and justifiably so.

The game, in Supercell's own words involves "build an army and crush your opponents" it's a "winner" ethos. Building armies requires resources so naturally all players want as much as they can get as it enables the game to be played to it's best advantage.

Having encouraged players to be thirsty for resources Supercell has created this event where the analogy could be walking across a desert then being greeted by someone with a full bottle of water and being told you can only drink half and the rest is poured away in front of your eyes. If you had only been given a bottle with half the amount you would have been very happy, seeing the other half being thrown away is what has encouraged everyone to complain on this forum.

Never mind, next year it will be 6x as bad!

This doesn't need a reply from the usual's who criticise everyone that posts with "you should be grateful", it's an open forum for everyone to have their say.

Really really well said. Great analogy. Like I said originally I didn’t want to sound ungrateful; but let’s call something what it is rather than call it something that it’s not. It’s just false advertising and caused people to get excited for something they can’t even take advantage of. Out CWL ends soon. And even if we start a war immediately, prep day and the first 20 hours of war day fall with in the event, but the event ends before the war day will end. So we probably won’t get the bonus unless we are the lucky 15 in CWL at the top and most developed of our clan who need the loot the least

It’s posted on the previous page (twice!) that if your war STARTS during the event you will get the bonus even if the event finished before your war ends. I don’t know if that is correct, but the poster says that’s what happend the last time they ran this event so it’s likely to be the case. I hope so, because we are going to start a war 7 hours from now

Stickies are usually started by SC with some form of announcement or sharing of information. It isn't often that a thread started by someone who is inconvenienced by not getting what they want or think they deserve, will be stickied. When a post starts out negative, quite often the follow-up [or responses] will be that way as well, and it won't really have a good bases for discussion. The first thread about this topic started out differently [why is there no event] but as soon as the event started, several other threads were merged into that one, so I do think that one could be taken as the main thread...

However, there's no reason at all to keep on creating new threads on the topic when there are quite a few already on the exact same thing....
