If it isn't obvious, and clearly is isn't obvious enough, the 5x is deliberate. Having 5x means win or lose, its going to max out or pretty much max out treasuries. Its meant to benefit BOTH winners and losers. Trying thinking big picture, and not focus on yourself.

Clash of Clans is not an "Evreyone Wins" game, you either lose or win, losing clans should not have the same reward as the clan who won, the clan that was online and used every attack and used better strategy

Thankfully, SC isn’t so narrow minded. It is the celebration of 5 years of clan wars. SC wants everyone to benefit from the 5x bonus. So for a few days, both winners and losers and draws will get a nice fat bonus. It’s not about who used attacks or who had better strategy, it about celebrating the main feature of a great game.

This is a little like being taken to a candy store, told you can take as much as you can carry and then complaining because you can't carry enough.

I fear for the future of the entitled youth in this world, mostly because from what I'm hearing your parents and their parents have trashed it so you need to do more with less; not demand more for less!!

Entitlement? What entitlement? People earned a 5X loot bonus but don't get it.
Should you not be able to keep what you earn?
There is no entitlement in believing/expecting to keep what you earn.
Also, those mentioning that we should be able to keep what we earn aren't all young people.
You're candy store analogy is actually false b/c the person didn't earn any candy...they're just told they can have as much as they want.
I already used this analogy in a previous reply: your boss assigns you a project and wants it done in a certain # of days. He/she promises you a $1,000 bonus.
You work your tail off and finish the project in the allotted time; thus earning the $1,000 bonus.
Your boss then hands you a $500 visa gift card and explains to you that the cards have a limit of $500, thus he can't give you the full bonus.
This is exactly what SC did last year & again this year: promises you a huge bonus, but you only get about 45-ish% percent of what you earned.
That is why people are upset; has nothing to do with entitlement.
Honestly, they should just call it a "full treasury" event and code it so everyone's (winners & losers) treasuries are full.
To do otherwise is very misleading.

Searched everywhere for a similar topic. Didn't come across one.

Some of my fellow clan mates are getting frustrated at losing ‘Excess’ loot awarded post clan war victory. They feel they are being penalized for attacking ‘harder’ targets than is recommended only to lose out on rightfully won loot because their clan castle is as high as they can but cannot hold enough for their winnings. At first I just shrugged it off and was like “Well, upgrade your stuff and yada yada…”

However, the same situation keeps happening, especially with our lower level town hall-ers in our clan who are skilled enough to take down much higher opponents than the recommended target they get. (We only do a 10 vs 10 so perhaps a larger battle would balance it out better I don’t know.) One of the people who was losing over 100k of each loot in her winnings each war actually came forward in our chat with a suggestion I felt was ok and wouldn’t ‘break the game’ in any way yet still give the winner their rightfully earned loot.

She suggested to do the following on a war ending:
1) the Clan Castle is filled as it always is, to full if equal to or over the amount it can store.
2) if any winnings are left over after castle is filled, instead of being just lost as an offering the clan gods in offering, put then in the REGULAR storages of the appropriate type.
3) if the regular storages are full and the leftovers cannot be put in them, well then the clan gods get their rightful share of the loot and tough luck for the player who isn’t spending it fast enough or upgrading their storages.

The only real penalty difference here is that the leftovers are in regular storages and thusly can be stolen at a different rate than the clan castle, but at least the player doesn’t lose it outright upon being rewarded after the war. Seems like a fair trade.

It is not a huge or major game changer request but this issue is starting to cause some of our better players in our clan to attack lower targets because they feel they don’t get rightfully rewarded for doing so. It may not affect many but it seems to be a valid request that won’t damage gameplay but still help those it happens to.

This is an issue now with the clan war league. Theres been an even where the player is awarded 10x the war loot on winning. A recent war I won I was rewarded 4.6m gold and elixir and 23k dark elixir. My cc loot was empty and the max it can hold is 3.6m gold/elixir and 15k dark.

Storage was fully filled with war loot in one go and the excess lost. It's not some measly 300k loot but 1 million gold and elixir and 8k dark lost.

I think this event is meant to reward clans that fielded 30vs30 (all TH3)...i think in this scenario, the bonus loot would probably not overflow. Just a thought.

The event is good and we are getting loads of extra loot and xp. Some people are just disappointed because it isn't really 5x loot and it is disappointing to see 10s of millions of gold and elixir and >50k dark elixir and expect to get it at the end but later find out you can't
