Fix Engineering it’s just making the game miserable!!!

Anyone got the link to the complaints thread? Our latest war match is a joke. Outweighed across the board in offence and defence 郎郎郎 We have 2 town hall 11 and one eagle. They have 4 town hall 11, 2 eagles and a town hall 10 in position 13 matched with a town hall 8. Just takes the fun out it to be honest.

We have a similar match OP... We have 1 eagle vs. 3. We have 2 x 10.5's and a brand new 11 in though so we have similar offence. (Yes, I really didn't want to put these 10.5's in but they wanted to war so it is what it is).
They also have a d less 11 sat at no. 14. with 48/50/20 offence.
We are even on 10s and even on 9s.... if you reorder the rosters by th colour, we match pretty much.

We have a better mid-table and a weaker top end.
On paper, they have the edge on defence but we will see. If we have a good war, I expect we'll win.

I learnt a long time ago to look carefully at the match before judging it and reading your later posts, it seems you beat them anyway which kinda says they were not up your standard.

All is fair in love and war, let engineers engineer, I will join them when I need to to keep enjoying war, or give it up, but I don't need to at present. I think the war mm is very good at letting engineers mash engineers about and letting balanced folk enjoy balanced wars. I don't have numbers to back it up (happy for somebody that does to correct me?) but I suspect clan war participation went down when bh and expecially clan games arrived, yet SuperCell seem to have done a better and better job at separating the playing styles. Of course I will change my mind, come on the forum and moan, just as soon as my perfect balanced clan gets matched against those dark arts engineers . I maintain my position that the worst bit in war mm is, and has been for some time, the effect of recent war performance that seems to increase the likelyhood of meeting engineers. Calls for banning other law abiding folk from playing a game in their spare time are wrong and daft. Sorry, but there is the truth of it.

I agree, matchmaking is better, I will not say it is perfect but we actually got more matchups where we got the edge after we dropped eagles and infernos on many accounts. Keep up the good job SC.

I agree with your statement but it seems after update it is right back to before the Fix.

You have experienced a paradigm shift since the update? I have been doing balanced and mostly TH10 to TH8 15v15 wars, I am seeing no change, all I would say is we have had a run of rubbish opposition that seem incapable of TH8/9 triples, but I can't blame that on war mm ...

Supercell should ban all engineered bases! It takes the fun from clash of clans! My opinion that i am entitled to!

Hmmm ... Really ? ... I think maybe SC should ban all maxer bases since they are extremely boring and demonstrate a total lack of creativity in their development ... Anyone can drone their way through base building and if SC really wanted that to be done then the main village would be pretty much like the exceedingly boring BB.

I still don't see the link to recent war performance, or at least to win streak. We are on 9, they are on 5, but had a decent streak just before a single defeat previous.
What strikes me more, is the quality of match. If we had both lost our previous 10, 0r only one of us had a streak, it would be good. Both offenses look compatible, both sets of heroes, are high teens, to early/ mid 20s. Their TH10 has IT, but they concede defensive weight lower to compensate. Over all, I am expecting our heavier walls, to move us onto 10, as we will move to stop the cc spring, and try to force ground attacks from them.
But during this streak, we have only had 2 matches that went against us, one was using a rushed 11 as our number 1, giving the opposition a "real time" top end advantage (in that the 11 can only realistically hit 9s), and I put down a poorly planned roster, last war, with 3 anchors (rushed 11 included), that threw our balance out, and gave us a rusher clan with an array of bigger hall colours than us, but thankfully no attack other than loons, which we negated thru stopping the spring.
On a happy note (for us), if we win it will be our first 10 streak. Biggest challenge.. I have 11 accounts in this war, in a 15v, and my gaffer called me into work on overtime tomorrow. Hope the company internet is working lol.
