OP, you are showing a bit of "mirror mentality". War maps are arranged on defensive strength only. The fact that that th10 is matched to your th8 just shows it's difficulty on defense. It's offense (if it was significant) was likely matched to one of your th10's.
Most people only look at the offense side of the equation. We can see from your statement that you had defensive superiority (an advantage of your own, and a big one at that!). Going to assume that those extra two 11's were not 50/50/20 and maybe more of a rushed type of engineered 11. Depending on how developed they are they will most likely struggle against solid th10's.
Looking at the bigger picture (not just offense), the opposing clan had more offense but had to overcome more defense, where as your clan had less offense but had to overcome less defense. The way the match maker works (from what I can tell) offense and defense does not trade equally. So more then likely the opposing clan took a big hit on defense because of their extra offense and gave up more stars then they could get back in this case. Defense advantage is the advantage I would like to have as the average player struggles with attacking.
It is also capable of matching offense to offense and defense to defense. There is not always a trade off.
Not being able to properly break down a match is one reason we are still seeing the mis-match threads. Once people see that the other clan has a few more th11's then them, they are blind to any other facts and are already screaming mis-match. So many threads are made with the title "worst match in clash of clans history" and later on we find out that the proclaimed mis-matched clan wins the war. Just like here.
Best of luck in your future wars and try doing a more in depth match breakdown before getting so upset.

Totally agree with superstorm points. Perhaps SC should give us a new order option then engineered will wake up.
Thanks for the detailed reply Super storm 👍🏻 Think I probably did overreact a bit with the post on this one. We do usually get a balanced match but I think it was off the back of a match a few weeks back that we eventually lost. 10 vs 10 with our town hall 7 in position 10 mirrored with a town hall 11. He had level 5 splash defences (just 1 wiz towner and mortar), town hall 9 air and archer towers and town hall 10 tesla and some lovely walls. He lavalooned our 2 and 3 for a 6 pack and they won by a star. The rest of their line up mirrored up the same as ours. Middle base town hall 9 had level 3 xbows but weak heroes. Not sure if that took their weight down? I guess when you see a disparity in town hall mirrors when a war is declared it’s not good to see.
I think this is the general view in the community and Engineering is a very negative part of the game. You can see how poorly it’s viewed by the clash community in general by the number of posts on it. 👍🏻
Probably been enough said on this one now so the mods can close this down and stick to the sticky header for engineering reports.

Well quite apart from the fact they have said they don't want to, how exactly do you propose they do that?
See if you can get 10 people on here to all agree on what defines an engineered base, and makes sure you don't catch any other players in the net. You won't manage it.
And if they did somehow manage to define it, and just banned them all, they would rightly be sued for millions. You can't just change the rules and then ban anybody whose base was within the rules yesterday but now is not.
I'm sure I dislike engineers as much as you. We recently had a run of 2 wins in 25 wars, mainly caused by being matched against engineered clans. But we have to be realistic here.

Winning does not mean the war was fair or enjoyable. If the other squad is terrible you might win. All of you lower accounts in you clan hit defenseless bases, was the war enjoyable for them? Then you get the same war with good attackers and you get rolled, unenjoyable for all........... except for those who got their lunch money back they lost as a kid.
No one is saying ban engineered accounts, they want to war let them fight each other and drop 45/45/20 on the other teams gold cannons and green archer towers and 100 % each other.
Correct except the part about lawsuits. They can do what they want with the game, its all covered by the TOS and common sense. Someday they'll even pull the plug, I imagine they might have some liability if they accept gems in between deciding to shut down and actually doing it, but otherwise I wouldn't put an attorney on retainer to go after SC.
Banning them all would be horrible for business however.
