I’m done with BH

OP, I am a new BH8. Sitting there with a few level 1 defenses.

I'm killing everything I want to kill but I dropped 1000 trophies.

During the Builder Hall Clan Games, my loot was maxed and no builder free because the BH was upgrading. I gained 500 back.

So why try to win? I needed stars and percentage, I didn't need to win. So, I set my defense on side of the base and the non-defensive on the other side. Most could three star me and for a while I dropped trophies like crazy.

Yeah, I get you make more money staying high but you make more money easier if you drop trophies. For the most part, I still three star almost everything I attack and when I have a regular bae they can't get much on me. Even when I was upgrading a crusher.

I do have six camps. I used my book of building on that.

It's up to you and everyone else to play the way they want too but I gave up on trophies not the BH. I can get those trophies back with no problem at all.

If and only if you think BH7s should be consistently matched against BH8s.

How about if you are matched with BH5 as a BH7, will you complain? What will you say to that BH5 if he complains about matchmaking ?

no, u are not done with BH, that's why u get higher BH as opponent.

Yep I'm right there with you. I decided to take control and play the game on my terms instead of the game design and SC dictating it for me.

Anyone who says you need to upgrade the BH right away is lending weight to the opinion that the matchmaking is broken. Why do you have to upgrade right away? Because if you don't, you will be overpowered. If you do, you can overpower people and climb.

In other words, it is an exploit of a broken facet of the game.

THe fact you think it is broken for some reason does not mean it is remotely "exploiting" anything.

Well in the sense of "like" that means absolutely no distinguishable similarities whatsoever, yes.

Why was that one addressed and not this (a simple weighting of buildings within trophy ranges would provide better competition as one player won't have to destroy three extra buildings to achieve parity of scale at the onset)?

Because the one that was addressed was was a loophole in the design which was exploited by the players doing something that had not been anticipated, which provided a way of progressing rather fast with very little effort, but in a hugely boring way.

While this one is doing exactly what it was intended to, and is not a loophole in the design being exploited in an unexpected way.

Simple reason...giving out a 12 hour shield for town hall sniping didn't lead to players spending money while a broken matchmaking system will see frustrated players toss gems at it.

No, the reason is that one is doing what it was intended and expected to do, while the other wasn't.

SC certainly don't think it is broken, and neither do most who post here about it.

we are now in a time of transgression, the mass of BH7 is divided into those who wanted to max and those who moved on early, yet
trophy wise these are still mixed up and on the same spot. In time they will seperate and things go back to normal, just like a water-oil emulsion slowly seperating again.
Right now the stronger of the two strategies is getting ahead and the weaker of the two has to bite the biscuit until the seperation has completed.
Just sit it out or change your strategy. I know it is very frustrating having to go against stronger opponents, but rest asured this is only for now.

It's not only for now, it's a constant state of bb gameplay to be outmatched against stonger opponents until you yourself max your bh at the highest level which is currently bh8. There is no getting ahead (unless you are a gemmer), that's a farce and if you really believe that essentially you're like the greyhound on the track chasing the rabbit; pro tip, you're never going to catch it.
