A newb won't have his knowledge. However, for the casual bh player, you do your three wins a day, rise to your natural place in trooohies as time goes on, and go on with life. You will run into oddballs like bh8s slumming in low levels but overall it evens out. Newb pushers will hit a wall and post a new matchmaking thread. And clash life goes on.

This is one of the reasons I make my videos and go into the level of detail I provide both here and on my blog/YT channel. I’m not catering to the high end player with all maxed attacks and such but rather to players who are building their games in a much slower fashion. I don’t do the all-F2P thing anymore; I find it to be tedious and I doubt the majority of players in this game are that spend averse. Those who are, though, can still follow the same path it just takes them a little while longer (early on, measured in days; later in weeks). Other than that, I keep it casual - 3 or 6 attacks a day (depending on if I miss a day, which I often do), little to no gemming, and follow the upgrade path I lay out in my guides. I suppose I can be a better attacker but even there, I typically just spam RBs or Beta Minions to get the job done as quickly as possible. I run several games at different levels of development for this reason as well - intentionally. For example - I have a game or two with L5 defenses at BH8, and the new hyper-rush I’m doing will likely have L1 defenses at BH8.

Now, on my main game...the namesake game...that’s the one I play for myself, so all bets are off there....

It’s really about how long you want to spend on the grind. I’d sooner pay 10 bucks to get the AirBombs and Guard Post than take the several days required raiding and waiting for the build. All told, the level-up bonus packs for the BB cost $85 and shave months off the grind. Way I see it, that’s not far off from what I would pay for the newest Call of Duty or such and I’m going To get way more play-time out of CoC, so....

FWIW, I did the strict F2P thing on all of my original BB games up to BH7 (there were no bonus packs before then). Now...I’m just Not willing to wait so long.

Everyone is different and some find value in spending money on clash while other see at as a complete waste. Regardless those who spend large amounts of money certainly have a difference experience and views about clash than those who do not. Personally i cant can't imagine spending $85 on just one account for bb when I've spent less that $100 total in almost 5 years that I've been playing clash. No regrets here though, I'd rather have real tangible things than just owning pixels and likely we owe those that spend a lot some gratitude as it's their dollars that help provide us a free game so thanks.

Well actually I'm not wrong, but thanks for sharing your opinion. It simply shows that with money and time anything is possible in bb, or at the least much easier, that's it. In no way shape or form does buying packs and hyper rushing through trophies reflect the average game play experience for the average bb player which is what this thread is about. I think everyone understands that the top 1% or whatever who spend large amounts of money/gems and have numerous accounts have a very different experience playing the game and that's hardly suprising.

It's basically akin to a social elite lecturing someone that is living in borderline poverty on how mistaken they are about life and how easy things really are and can be. I mean seriously common already it's embarrassing, just stop it.

I have no idea how you got that out of what I posted, or how you might have thought anyone was doing that. It was a simple point for the OP: try rushing to 8 instead of maxing at 7 first if he/she before quitting wants to try something else that might rekindle the fun, and sound advice for the average B.B. player. Whether anyone else buys packs or not or gems or not is irrelevant. Noc’s project is really only relevant for showing the same approach works when starting from even well behind the OP’s progression point (which was raised as a doubt and answered with that).

No idea why you think I ought be embarrassed or stop anything, or why you feel free to tell me how I should be and post... That kind of rubbishy response starts to head into the territory of personal attacks rather than meaningful constructive discussion; it’s just unnecessary.
