We want a diamond confirmation button

I'd be amazed if we ever see a counter argument to this suggestion, SC will just overlook this alternative to a confirmation button because imo they're not as unhappy with accidental diamond losses as their customers are.

You are correct in that you probably won't see a counter argument. SC is not going to debate game design and functionality with users.

Keep in mind that just because they don't comment doesn't mean they haven't seen it. There is at least one forum with threads strictly for Mods and Admins where they discuss forum threads (and have food fights and all sorts of PG-13 activities). This will be discussed if it hasn't been already. A discussion doesn't warrant implementation though.

I know this, but if they ask for ideas and feature requests on an official forum it's nice to know that an idea has been passed along and maybe even get feedback regarding it. After all the suggestion of a confirmation button was put to them, they considered it and stated why they wouldn't implement such a feature.
I think it was you (forgive me if I'm mistaken) who suggested a sticky on this board listing ideas already suggested and maybe even a comment regarding the idea's status - like rejected outright, or passed along to dev team, etc. Also a great idea because then we wouldn't have to see people asking in vain for things like a confirmation button when alternative suggestions slip down the board and get lost in the nether.
I'm not expecting a debate with game designers, that's never gonna happen as you say but it would be encouraging to think that some of these ideas get debated and considered by the people who could make them reality

I am aware of the things u state above, and agree with u. It would be nice though if I would get some feedback on if they read my suggestions or not. Not looking for a debate with SC, but just would love a simple confirmation "we read this topic". Then me (who put quite some effort in making solutions and making this topic), knows his input is not fading unread.

I stopped buying diamonds two months ago because of continuous losses and I now play the game in a very relaxed way. When feeding animals, especially the chickens I can rub my finger all over the speed up button and because I store no diamonds, nothing is accelerated. If i win diamonds from the mine, from a lucky box opening, i use them on buying spaced in the production line or on the spinning wheel. When I get diamonds for achievements I leave them in the farmhouse until I want to spend them. This has proved a happy release, slows the game down admittedly, I have dropped from 2nd place on the boat score board to 5th, but hey, who cares about this? Supercell will not get another penny from me until something is done about this awful money grabbing tactic of theirs. All players should join in, do this, then they will sit up and do something.

SC could easily move the speedup button to the top of the game page out of the way of feeding animal/crop production. how often do players purposely use the speed up button, we know all the time by accident. It would be easy enough to hit a speed up button at the top, side or bottom. This would not slow the flow of the game at all, but would affect their revenue a great deal. But soon players will sicken of wasting their money and stop buying diamonds. I wonder what SC would invent to trap us then?

May I remind you that forum moderators are regular players that help out organizing the forum. They write a rapport (where they can include ideas or other things I've seen posted on the forum) once a week to Nick that is the forum manager (a Supercell staff) that in turn forward ideas to the dev team. Moderators are not Supercell staff, so don't make smart remarks out of what they say. You need to appreciate their hard work making this forum a nice place to be in (without being payed).

I like the owner's chest idea. Though maybe it shouldn't be shown in my farm as decor or whatnot (i.e. additional storage let say... inside the house!)

Completely agree with solution 1 and 2. Just a misclick and the diamond is gone. It's so painful and make me feel so upset.

SC have already stated that they WILL NOT be implementing a confirmation button for diamond usage. However they have said that they will implement a feature to prevent accidental spending if they can find a solution that in their opinion doesn't disrupt the flow of the game.

The assertion that these confirmations will affect game flow is a load of rubbish. Even if it did, several simple 'solutions' have already been suggested which have simply been ignored. This includes the welll supported idea I suggested on page 25 of this thread.

Many people have already stated that they will not buy diamonds until this issue is addressed, including myself. Nobody should be buying diamonds until this happens.
