I have been so very careful to not spend gems accidentally because there is no confirmation button and brushed off the odd few here and there as my own fault for being overzealous and distracted. This is the first game I have ever bought the currency for, Supercell made a great cost/benefit ratio where I really feel the effect of my real money spent on my gameplay, as opposed to other games where I could buy a whole new PS3 game or something for a functional ratio of currency, good job! But I just set my phone down and just picking it up, spent ~100 gems on upgrade items :'( I hate to sound like a blackmailing, whiny player, but now I'm going to have to think long and hard about buying more diamonds again. I lost my job, totaled my car, my husband just got out of the hospital after emergency surgery for double quad ruptures and this was a frivolous purchase I couldn't really afford but needed a getaway and the ratio was right and supports a great game. I just don't see how tons of other iPhone games I play have confirm buttons for currency spending but they're claiming it would interrupt gameplay. It's not like players spend tons of time spending diamonds that non-stop confirmations would be disruptive, even on a spending spree (like opening up a bunch of queue spots at once) it's just not that big of a deal from a player POV. I think it would go a long way in customer relations for a customer base that really supports the developers to see this small amount of respect for their customers come back. A statement of good faith, if you will.

Hay Day is in no way a fast paced game. You have to wait hours for jam and metal bars, so how can a confirmation button slow it down. It's hardly a game of split second timing. The fastest bit of the game is trying to buy construction goods from the newspaper!
