We want a diamond confirmation button

I refuse to purchase any diamonds until there is a confirmation button. I am perfectly willing to buy some but not when they are so easy to use accidentally. That is the message Supercell needs to get!

(I also keep the diamonds I get as rewards in the farmhouse until I have enough to buy an expansion slot or whatever... so the only ones at risk are those that come in red boxes or in the mine!)

While a lot of the stuff is great, this is one of the drawbacks of the game. That and I can never seem together them other than through achievements or purchase! I have found one box of diamonds, that's it. So many games give you opportunities to earn them by watching a video or through Tapjoy, but not here. I know they need to make $$, but when you show videos for other games, isn't that advertising revenue and hence how they are able to give them away??

Yes. The lack of confirmation confirms the game makers are interested in keeping a flimsy balance between game enjoyment and money. Let us enjoy it just enough to play....but after a week or so at it,a I'm pretty tired of the money grl
abbing.

at the very least, diamonds need to be given more freely as rewards for achievements.

As someone who lost 15 diamonds growing a cherry tree I'd recently planted, I'd definitely like to see a confirmation button.

I bought a number of modest packages of diamonds when I started playing the game, partly because my philosophy is to give something back to developers who provide a free and enjoyable game, and partly to open up some production slots. Unfortunately I lost many diamonds though game glitches (they would just disappear) or accidental swiping. It's definitely put me off additional purchases.

While I can see that Supercell want (and need) to make money, for every player that shrugs and buys more there's probably another that feels like I do.

Emphatic yes! It is much too easy to accidentally use them, even when taking care not to do so. I have noticed several improvements recently, for instance the treasure chests contain items of more value like diamonds, which make it a little easier to collect diamonds. However, a confirmation for using the diamonds bought OR collected would be the best improvement Hayday can make.
