Ok, just to put my 2 cents in yet again. I understand losing hard earned diamonds without valid reason is frustrating. I've lost plenty myself and it's very aggravating to say the least.
However, only those who've purchased diamonds with real money are owed any kind of reimbursement. For the rest of us, we need to work with SC on fixing the issues and not demand diamond refunds, legal action, or boycotts when the only thing we have been "robbed" of is our time.
It would, of course, be lovely if SC would reimburse all of us each time we lose diamonds. Especially considering that the last update has created new loss issues and increased existing ones. But they can't realistically do that...the massive influx of requests would be impossible to fulfill. One day's worth of requests would take a week to fill. As it is, demands such as this swamp and bog down their email and keep them from spending much needed time on issues that are more serious and effect a greater number of players in a more negative way.
If you've paid for lost diamonds with real money, than do the best you can to collect data to send to SC so they can investigate the issue. Do your best to provide screenshots, detailed chronologies of what happened, and anything else you can think of to prove it happened due to a problem with the game.
For those of us who've not paid real money, the only thing we have the right to is either keep playing and curse when it happens, place a review in the App Store, or find another game to play that doesn't involve any gaming items to lose.
Remember that they always give us a few diamonds as compensation whenever the servers go out and even gave us all diamonds to offset the issue with the new Mystery Nets. They don't have to do that, so they ARE showing consideration.
