I honestly am looking towards whats better for the game in the long run. In my case, I am in a big, active clan whom have no trouble completing the highest tier of the clan games, so my reason for choosing the option of less clan games has nothing to do with not being able to achieve the highest rewards every single time. My reason is purely because people could become burnt out. Clan games has already lost much of its lustre for me, of course the rewards are amazing, but choosing an objective and then changing my army appropriately and then raiding, has already become abit of a chore for me. I am sure many of you are still loving it, though, so enjoy!

I am just expressing my own opinion in this matter.

edit: to the poster above me, it was the other thread that was locked, not this one, because of one extremely toxic person who insulted everyone who disagreed with him and expressed their own opinions.
I’m with you on this one. Two main concerns, one being burnout (more fun for being more special, and more enduring fun) and the other being I find it changes my attack style and the league I tend to stay in. I don’t want to play that way so often, taking cheap shots in crystal and below with queen walk, miners plus however many random other whatever the task wants tacked on, or dropping the queen just to snipe whatever building then quit. A little of that is fun and a great help to the team clearing out those difficult 1 hour or unloved troop tasks, but do it too much and it’s a long time before you’ll see me back where I belong in titans, doing proper attacks. I could go back up there but then I’d just be trying to beat my own clan mates out of the good tasks while our board fills with everyone’s leftovers, and mumbling about clouds.

As a fully maxed TH11 that did it all the hard way (truly, I have never spent a single gem on anything except the extra builder huts, not even on 1-gem boost events) I don't need you to do it the hard way as well. I did it without gems because gems just make the game faster and thus get you to the boring part of sitting around (where I am now) sooner. I even got all my heroes from 45 to 50 over the recent weeks without using a single book of heroes because all the book will do is end the upgrade process faster leaving me fully maxed and bored again (which I now am).

Unfortunately this attitude prevails. If one player does not need books or finds clan games stressful in their poorly run clan they want all of the millions of players to be denied more frequent clan games so they won't have to deal with the problem themselves. It is a terribly selfish attitude and way too common on video game forums.

We even see this when it comes to clan wars. We have talked in the past about having the option to shorten or even eliminate prep day. This would allow people to have a war every day if they wish. Obviously, since each clan decides when to start their own wars, this would have no effect on people that want less frequent wars or a full day of prep day, but people adamantly campaign against it simply because it would allow people that do opt for no prep day to get war loot at a faster rate. The desire to hinder the success of others is often a primary goal of video game players. It is a terrible attitude.
To add to some replies: I am a fully maxed TH11 too with no more need for Books as well. However, the main point complaining the frequency of Clan Games has nothing to do with the rewards at all. The rewards are totally good. For max players could only be useful if there are new contents. For players not maxed, it is all the more useful. But still, having 52 Books a year (if Clan Games are on weekly basis), soon a lot more players will join the max players and those Books will still no longer be as useful as now.

That is just another minor counter argument, but the real issue lies with Burnt out. And I say this again, especially for players on a smaller clan, getting 3000 point each game is exteremely important. So the players has got no choice but to finish and complete until reaching 3000 points. I can't imagine somone has to do the heavy liftings in 52 staight Clan Games in a year. Right now with 2 consecutive Clan Games, I am already tired and exhausted from the Clan Games challenges. (note: I did not say all players, but obviously some of the casual and less active players, in a small clan had already feel the burnt out by now).

Guys (and ladies), Darian has posted in several threads now, that in February there will be ongoing clan games (yes, too much for me personally, but I know others love it) partially in support of the Olympics, and after that it will be less frequent and it will differ in length/intensity .... how much more is there to say? It just goes on and on and on ...

the books and the potions can be sold for 50 and 25 gems so i dont see they are getting useless even for maxed out bases

If you check you’ll find that postdates this thread (and I’m sure many posting here saw it). We are now discussing more the “whys” of why less frequent is good - and are glad it was confirmed to be less frequent later.

Frankly the only reason I can see why fewer games is a good idea would be to eliviate some of the cloud frustration for pushers as the games make high trophy play a real pain.
Other than that there is no reason why we couldn’t have games on all the time.

Exactly, people who say "Burn out"... just skip the clan games if you feel burned out. Geez, how hard is that? And don't tell me "Peer pressure" cause that is the same as donation ratio's / doing wars. Do some talking among your clanmates for a change.

There are valid reasons for wanting to have it less frequent than just clouds...they've been discussed thoroughly in numerous threads.

Why the blank statement, perhaps because you do not have any valid reasons? Me personally have not seen any valid reasons (apart from the very weak reason clouds for legends) yet. And I have read all those threads.
