I'll be following this type of notion as well. While I don't have a book of building, I'll be leveling point defenses. When I do get a book of building I'll knock out one of the big defenses. I'm doing the big defenses in this order: Roaster (done), GC (done), multimortar, MT finally air bombs. I'll do crushers after point defenses are done. I'm not greatly concerned in getting those done with a book.

Please add about guard in the first post. Also I would like to know how much it takes for F2P to max out everything (excluding walls) with clock tower twice a day?

You’ll need to sit down and run some math for that one. It will vary depending upon a few factors like the Clock Tower cycle (if CT is run when something is upgrading, for example), use of Books, frequency of completing daily loot, frequency of starting upgrades, trophy ranking, etc. I talked about that in the 4th posting on this thread. You can also look at the Cumulative costs page on the wiki once it’s updated.

Here’s one sample spreadsheet I put together for building upgrades....

I‘m asking myself if it might help to (partly) counter the canon carts guys and increase the upgrade priority for giant canon and crusher ?

With the rate of rush in BB there should be a super hyper rushed guide.

Now that everything is at the previous BH level’s max, it’s time to start your level 8 upgrades.

    1. MegaTesla to L8 - The MegaTesla packs a wallop at level 8 and leads the pack.
    2. Roaster to L8 - The Roaster is, overall, the most well rounded defense in the game.
    3. MultiMortar to L8 - By the time you have everything to L7, the ground game will be coming into its own. The MultiMortar is devastating against the ground game.
    4. FireCrackers to L8 (all 4) - Many will have maxed air troops by now (probably Minion Drops); L8 FCs are your best defense.
    5. Hidden Teslas to L8 - Because...well...they’re just awesome! The Hidden Tesla targets air and ground troops and damages pretty much everything heavily.
    6. Giant Cannon to L8 - Now we’re seeing some upgraded Battle Machines. The GC is the best way to control the Battle Machine.
    7. AirBombs to L8 - Further defense against air attacks.
    8. Crushers to L8 - Further defense against ground troops.
    9. Double Cannons to L8 - Further defense against ground and stronger Battle Machines.
    10. Cannons to L8.
    11. ATs to L8.
    12. Guard Post to L8.
I'm wondering if you've rethought the order or if you still think this is the way to go.

I'm still working on the "little stuff" as F2P and I used my BoB on the Roaster.

I'm personally thinking it might be best to work on getting all 3 Double Cannons to L8 ASAP to counter Cannon Carts as Carts seem to be the go to unit.

I still plan on using the BoB to do some of the "big ticket" items and it seems like the "best" use for BoB for me any way
    Roaster (done)
    Multi-mortar
    Giant Cannon
Mega-Tesla (for any upgrade that takes 4+ days)
    Air Bombs
    Crushers

For the point defenses I'm thinking
    Double Cannons
    Teslas
Fire Crackers (may move up if I'm getting wrecked by minion drops)
    Archer Towers (ground/Air)
    Cannons

    I'm sure I've missed a few things.

    I am on the fence.

I always do the big ticket items first both because of their power in the defensive lineup as well as the time it takes to get them done. So far, they seem to be less than effective against the scourge that is the Cannon Cart. However, they ARE effective against the tanks.

On my main, I went ahead and did Roaster, MultiMortar, Giant Cannon, and MegaTesla. The problem isn’t so much as their effectiveness against the CCs though - they wallop ‘em good when they hit them. It’s plowing through the RBs, SPs, BGs, and BM so that they CAN get to them.

My current base design is doing a decent job of slowing down the horde as it attacks, but I’m still Seeing 60%-70% on a regular basis. At this point, I really do think it’s a matter of getting everything upgraded to be able to stop the attack effectively - whether you go big or small first isn’t much difference.

In light of the meta, though, I would definitely make one change to the lineup...I would prioritize ground attacking defenses over air attacking defenses for now.

    1) Roaster
    2) MultiMortar
    3) Giant Cannon
    4) Crushers
    5) Hidden Teslas
    6) Double Cannons
    7) FireCrackers
    8) AirBombs
    9) Archer Towers
    10) Cannon
    11) GP

Now...where to fit in the MegaTesla.... I have been underwhelmed with its performance but it does do well against the CC. I would move that to the third slot, maybe fourth, but not much lower.

Even with these changes, though, base design is going to have more impact early on. You need to tackle the tanks and distractors before the CCs - they’re what’s tearing the base up and keeping the CCs safe.

sounds like I need to set all my traps back to ground, especially the mega mines.

think I may try a staggered mine field you try and take out some bombers.

I’ve definitely set my MegaMines to ground and moved them so they will not be triggered by the first couple of RBs to hit the base. The staggered minefield approach works if you can control the deployment vector; unfortunately, with this attack...just not seeing it....
